2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or press the latch and lift to remove it.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

2.2 Initial Use
Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready for immediate use. No additional programming or pairing is required. Point the remote directly at your Chiq television and begin operation.
3. Operating Instructions
This remote control operates your Chiq Smart 4K UHD LED HDTV via infrared signals. Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote's emitter and the TV's IR receiver. The maximum effective range is approximately 8 meters (26 feet).

3.1 Button Functions
- Power (●): Turns the television on or off.
- SOURCE: Selects input sources (HDMI, AV, etc.).
- Number Buttons (0-9): Direct channel selection.
- MENU: Accesses the TV's main menu.
- BACK: Returns to the previous screen or menu.
- HOME: Navigates to the Smart TV home screen.
- EXIT: Exits current menu or application.
- INFO: Displays program information.
- SUBT.: Toggles subtitles on/off.
- Navigation Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK): Navigates menus and confirms selections.
- NET: Quick access to network features or a specific streaming app.
- YouTube: Quick access to the YouTube application.
- Volume (+/-): Adjusts the volume level.
- Channel (P ▲ / ▼): Changes channels up or down.
- GUIDE: Opens the electronic program guide.
- Q.MENU: Accesses quick settings or a shortcut menu.
- Color Buttons (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue): Functionality varies by TV model and application, often used for interactive features or menu navigation.
- Media Playback Controls (Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward, Previous, Next): Controls media playback.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Remote Control
To maintain the remote control's appearance and functionality, clean it regularly:
- Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth.
- For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's finish or internal components.
4.2 Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the remote control's response becomes sluggish or it stops functioning. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries, as this can lead to leakage or damage.

4.3 Storage
If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent potential leakage and damage to the device.

- Remote not responding:
- Ensure fresh AAA batteries are correctly installed.
- Check for any obstructions between the remote control and the TV's IR receiver.
- Confirm you are within the effective operating range (up to 8 meters).
- Verify that your television model is listed as compatible. This remote is not universal.
- Specific buttons not working:
