3. Product Overview

The XWXLIJV Digital Door Viewer consists of two main parts: an outdoor peephole camera and an indoor display unit. The outdoor unit features a 1080P HD camera with a 120° wide-angle lens, motion detection, and a doorbell button. The indoor unit houses a high-definition LCD color screen for viewing, and controls for various functions.

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your XWXLIJV Digital Door Viewer:

1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door has a standard peephole opening. The maximum door thickness supported is 2-5.7cm (0.79-2.24 inches), and the opening width required is 12-18mm (0.47-0.71 inches).
2. Attach Screws to Outdoor Unit: Select the appropriate length of screws from the package based on your door's thickness. Screw them into the back of the outdoor peephole camera unit.
3. Insert Outdoor Unit: Remove the adhesive backing from the outdoor unit. Carefully pass the camera cable and screws through the existing peephole in your door from the outside. Ensure the doorbell button faces downwards.
4. Mount Hanging Plate: From the inside of the door, remove the adhesive backing from the hanging plate. Pass the camera cable through the center hole of the hanging plate. Secure the hanging plate by screwing it onto the screws protruding from the outdoor unit. Tighten the screws firmly.
5. Connect Indoor Unit: Open the back cover of the indoor display unit. Connect the camera cable from the outdoor unit to the designated port on the indoor unit. Close the back cover.
6. Hang Indoor Unit: Carefully align the indoor unit with the hanging plate and slide it down into position until it securely locks.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

• Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button on the indoor unit to turn the device on or off.
• Live View: Once powered on, the LCD screen will display a live 1080P HD video feed from the outdoor camera, offering a 120° wide-angle view.
• Doorbell Function: When a visitor presses the doorbell button on the outdoor unit, the indoor display will light up, showing the visitor's image.

5.2 Advanced Features

• Motion Detection: The device is equipped with instant motion detection. When motion is detected, alerts are sent to your smartphone via the TUYA app.
• Remote Operation (TUYA App): Download the TUYA smartphone app to manage access to your home remotely. You can view video footage and potentially unlock the door (if integrated with a smart lock, not included).
• Night Vision: The camera includes infrared night vision for clear viewing in low-light conditions.

6. Maintenance

7. Troubleshooting

• No Image on Screen:
  • Ensure the indoor unit is powered on.
  • Check if the camera cable is securely connected between the outdoor and indoor units.
  • Verify the battery is charged.
• No Motion Detection Alerts:
  • Confirm motion detection is enabled in the TUYA app settings.
  • Check your smartphone's notification settings for the TUYA app.
  • Ensure the device has a stable Wi-Fi connection.
• Poor Video Quality:
  • Clean the outdoor camera lens.
  • Ensure adequate lighting conditions (though night vision should compensate in darkness).
• App Connectivity Issues:
  • Restart the indoor unit and your Wi-Fi router.
  • Ensure the TUYA app is updated to the latest version.
  • Verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz, as some smart devices do not support 5GHz.
