Setup

1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires two 1.5V AAA batteries (not included).

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote.
  2. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.

2. DIP Switch Configuration

The remote control uses DIP switches to match the frequency of your ceiling fan receiver. This step is crucial for proper operation.

Situation 1: Original Remote Control is Available

  • Locate the DIP switches on your original remote control (usually inside the battery compartment).
  • Adjust the DIP switches on the new FEKOTS HD3 remote control to exactly match the configuration of your original remote.

Situation 2: Original Remote Control is Lost

  • The default DIP switch setting is 0000 (all switches OFF), which is generally not recommended as it may not work with your fan.
  • There are 16 possible DIP switch combinations. Try each combination one by one until the remote successfully controls your ceiling fan.
  • To do this, set a combination, test the remote, and if it doesn't work, try the next combination.

Note:

  • The remote control uses 2 AAA batteries (not included).
  • The default settings is 0000, and it is not recommended.

Operating Instructions

Fan Speed Control

  • Press the fan speed buttons to cycle through High, Medium, Low, and Off settings.
  • Comfortable Breeze: Press the wave icon button (🌊) to activate the comfortable breeze mode. This mode randomly varies the fan speed to simulate a natural breeze.

Light Control

  • On/Off: Short press the light button (💡) to turn the light on or off.
  • Dimmer: Long press the light button (💡) to adjust the light brightness (stepless dimming). This feature is compatible with incandescent bulbs and dimmable LED/CFL lamps. Other LED and CFL lamps only support On/Off functionality.
  • Walk Away Time Delay: Press the power button () to turn off the light. The light will remain on for an additional 30 seconds before turning off completely, providing time to exit the room.

Timing Settings

  • While the fan is on, press the timer button () to set a run timer for 2, 4, or 8 hours. The fan and light will automatically turn off after the selected duration.

Thermostatic Control (FAN AUTO)

  • The remote has a built-in temperature sensor. Press the "FAN AUTO" button to activate this feature.
  • Use the temperature adjustment buttons (/) to set a desired room temperature range.
  • The fan will automatically turn on or off to maintain the set temperature.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's performance degrades or the display becomes dim. Always use fresh AAA batteries.
