  5. Secure Cup: Attach the suction feed cup to the spray gun, ensuring the snap-lock mechanism is fully engaged for an airtight seal. This prevents leaks even when tilted.
  6. Attach Spray Wand (Optional): For reaching confined spaces, attach either the flexible 360° spray extension wand or the flexible straight spray extension wand to the gun's nozzle.

Operating Instructions

  1. Adjust Air Pressure: Turn on your air compressor. Use the pressure regulator to set the desired air pressure. Start with a lower pressure and gradually increase until optimal atomization is achieved for your specific material. This can be done without crawling under the vehicle.
  2. Adjust Flow Rate: The nozzle features threads for quick flow adjustment. Rotate the nozzle to control the material flow rate. This allows for both high-volume spraying and precise low-flow applications.

Figure 6: The threaded nozzle allows for tool-free adjustment of the spray pattern and flow.

  3. Test Spray: Before applying to your target surface, perform a test spray on a scrap piece of material to verify the spray pattern and consistency. Adjust pressure and flow as needed.
  4. Application:
    • Hold the spray gun at a consistent distance from the surface.
    • Use smooth, overlapping passes to ensure even coverage.
    • For hard-to-reach areas, utilize the flexible extension wands. The 360° wand provides comprehensive coverage inside cavities.

  5. Efficient Performance: The InoKraft spray gun is designed for a 60% increased flow rate compared to standard undercoating guns, allowing for efficient application of thick materials without excessive dilution.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and performance of your spray gun.

  1. Disconnect Air Supply: Always disconnect the air hose from the spray gun before cleaning.
  2. Empty Remaining Material: Empty any unused coating material from the suction feed cup.
  3. Disassemble: Remove the suction feed cup and any attached spray wands.
  4. Clean Components:
    • Thoroughly clean the suction feed cup with an appropriate solvent or cleaner recommended by the coating material manufacturer. The wide opening facilitates easy access for cleaning.
    • Use the provided cleaning brush to clean the interior of the spray gun body, nozzle, and extension wands. Pay close attention to all passages to remove any material residue.
    • Flush the spray gun with solvent until it sprays clear.
  5. Inspect and Lubricate: After cleaning, inspect all parts for wear or damage. Lightly lubricate moving parts and threads with a compatible lubricant.
  6. Reassemble and Store: Reassemble the spray gun and store it in a clean, dry place.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution

  • Insufficient air pressure
  • Clogged nozzle or fluid passage
  • Material too thick
  • Air leaks
  • Increase air pressure at the regulator.
  • Clean nozzle and fluid passages thoroughly.
  • Thin material according to manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Check all connections for tightness; use PTFE tape if necessary.
Inconsistent spray pattern / Spitting
  • Partially clogged nozzle
  • Low material level in cup
  • Air leaks
  • Clean nozzle.
  • Refill suction cup.
  • Check all connections for tightness.
Material leakage from cup
  • Cup not securely attached
  • Damaged cup seal
  • Ensure snap-lock mechanism is fully engaged.
