4. Important Notes and Precautions

Image: A visual summary of important usage notes for the SafeFly Pro.
- If your headphones do not support aptX-LL/Adaptive technology, audio latency may be approximately 1-2 seconds.
- It is not recommended to use the SafeFly Pro with musical instruments like electronic pianos or guitars, as latency can be significant.
- AirPods series (including AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Max) only support SBC/AAC formats and do not support other formats like aptX.
- Do not charge the device while using it, as this can damage the battery and affect playtime.
- Under Dual Link mode (connecting with two headphones simultaneously), the audio format will be SBC only. You cannot change audio formats to others in this mode.
- To protect battery life, the transmitter will automatically shut down if it is not connected to a Bluetooth device or if there is no audio stream for 5 minutes. To use it again, you must turn it on manually.
- The SafeFly Pro is not compatible with AirPods Pro 2 or Apple Headphones (AirPods Max). Attempting to pair or use them together may result in connection failures, audio issues, or other functional problems.
- When pairing AirPods, ensure they are inside their case with the lid open. It is advisable to turn off any nearby Bluetooth devices (e.g., your phone) when pairing on planes to avoid interference.
5. Troubleshooting
No Power / Device Not Turning On
- Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB-C cable and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes.
- Verify that the charging cable and power adapter are functioning correctly.
Cannot Pair with Bluetooth Device
- Ensure the SafeFly Pro is in the correct mode (TX for transmitting, RX for receiving).
- Make sure both the SafeFly Pro and your target Bluetooth device are in pairing mode.
- Bring the devices closer together (within 1 meter).
- Clear the pairing history on both devices if possible, then attempt to pair again.
- Turn off other nearby Bluetooth devices to minimize interference.
- Note: The SafeFly Pro is not compatible with AirPods Pro 2 or Apple Headphones (AirPods Max).
Audio Latency or Poor Sound Quality
- Ensure your headphones or speakers support aptX Low Latency or aptX Adaptive for minimal delay. If not, some latency is expected.
- Double-check the audio source for quality issues.
- In TX mode, try double-clicking the M Key to cycle through different audio codecs.
- Avoid charging the device while in use, as this can affect audio performance.
- If using Dual Link mode, the audio codec will default to SBC, which may have higher latency than aptX codecs.
Automatic Shutdown
- The device is designed to automatically shut down after 5 minutes of inactivity (no Bluetooth connection or no audio stream) to conserve battery. This is normal operation. Simply power it on again to resume use.
