1. Safety Information

Please read this manual carefully before operating the device. Keep this manual for future reference. Failure to follow safety instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

  • Electrical Safety: This product must be grounded. Ensure the power supply voltage matches the device's requirements (110 Volts). Disconnect power before any service or maintenance.
  • Heat Warning: The external surface of the device can reach up to 120°C. Maintain a minimum distance of 0.20m from flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Mounting: Securely mount the device using appropriate hardware. Ensure the mounting surface can support the device's weight (11 pounds).
  • Eye Safety: Do not look directly into the light source.
  • Indoor Use: This device is designed for indoor use. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove the device from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage during transit. If damage is found, do not operate the device and contact your supplier.

3.2 Mounting

The moving head light can be placed on a flat surface or mounted to a truss using the provided clamp locks. Ensure the mounting location is stable and can safely support the fixture's weight. Always use a safety cable when mounting overhead.

3.3 Connections

Connect the power cable to the power input on the rear of the unit. For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller to the DMX IN port. If linking multiple units, connect the DMX OUT of the first unit to the DMX IN of the next, and so on.

4. Operating Modes

The Weikass 100W Moving Head Light offers multiple control options via its control panel located on the base of the unit.

4.1 Control Panel Navigation

  • MENU: Press to cycle through main menu options.
  • UP/DOWN: Use to navigate within menu options or adjust values.
  • ENTER: Confirm selection or save changes.

4.2 DMX512 Mode

This mode allows precise control over all functions using an external DMX controller. Connect your DMX controller to the DMX IN port. Use the control panel to set the DMX address for the fixture. Refer to the DMX channel chart in the appendix (if provided in the physical manual) for specific channel assignments.

4.3 Master/Slave Mode

Link multiple fixtures together for synchronized operation without a DMX controller. Connect the DMX OUT of the 'Master' unit to the DMX IN of the first 'Slave' unit, and continue the chain. Set the 'Master' unit to an auto or sound-activated mode, and set all 'Slave' units to 'Slave' mode via their control panels.

4.4 Sound Activated Mode

The fixture will react to ambient sound, changing patterns and colors in sync with music or other audio. Select 'Sound' mode from the control panel. The sensitivity may be adjustable.

4.5 Auto Program Mode

The fixture features built-in automated programs for various light shows. Select 'Auto' mode from the control panel and cycle through available programs using the UP/DOWN buttons. Speed and other parameters may be adjustable.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning is recommended to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of the fixture. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe down the exterior. For optical components (lens, gobos), use a specialized lens cleaner and cloth to avoid scratches. Ensure the device is powered off and cooled before cleaning.

5.2 Inspection

Periodically inspect power cables, DMX cables, and mounting hardware for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Replace any damaged components immediately.

5.3 Fuse Replacement

If the unit does not power on, check the fuse located on the rear panel. Disconnect power before attempting to replace the fuse. Use only fuses of the specified type and rating.
