4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The Hairich Digital Torque Wrench requires batteries for operation. Ensure you use the correct battery type (Alkaline) and install them with the correct polarity.

1. Locate the battery compartment, typically at the base of the handle.
2. Open the battery cover.
3. Insert the required batteries, observing the polarity markings (+/-).
4. Close the battery cover securely.

4.2 Initial Power On

After battery installation, press the "OK" button to power on the device. The digital display will illuminate, showing the current settings.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• To power on: Press the OK button.
• To power off: Press and hold the OK button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The wrench may also have an auto-off feature after a period of inactivity.

5.2 Unit Selection

The wrench supports five measurement units. To switch between them:

1. Press the U (Unit) button to cycle through the available units: kg-cm, kg-m, Nm, in-lb, ft-lb.
2. The selected unit will be displayed on the screen.

5.3 Setting Target Torque

To set your desired torque value:

1. Press the M (Mode) button to enter the setting mode (if applicable, or use arrow keys directly).
2. Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrow buttons to adjust the target torque value.
3. Press OK to confirm the setting.

5.4 Track and Peak Modes

The wrench offers two operational modes:

• Track Mode: Displays the real-time torque value as force is applied. Useful for monitoring live torque.
• Peak Mode: Records and displays the maximum torque value achieved during an operation. This mode is also used for data storage.

Switch between modes using the M (Mode) button.

5.5 Buzzer and LED Indicators

The wrench provides clear feedback during torque application:

• At 80% of the preset torque: A flashing light and an audible beep will activate.
• At 100% (or exceeding) of the preset torque: A steady light will illuminate, accompanied by a continuous beep or vibration, indicating the target torque has been reached.

5.6 Data Storage

5.7 Using the Ratchet

The 3/8" drive ratchet head is reversible. To change the direction of the ratchet:

1. Locate the direction switch knob on the ratchet head.
2. Turn the knob to select either clockwise or counter-clockwise operation.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning
