Setup and Assembly
1. Battery Installation
To install the battery, align the battery pack with the slot on the chainsaw handle. Press the button on the battery and slide it firmly into place until it clicks, ensuring a secure connection.

2. Chain and Guide Bar Installation
If not already installed, carefully place the saw chain around the guide bar, ensuring the cutting teeth are facing the correct direction. Align the chain and guide bar with the chainsaw's drive sprocket and mounting studs. Secure the guide plate cover.

3. Chain Tension Adjustment
The Decerk Mini Chainsaw features tool-free chain tension adjustment. Simply rotate the knob on the side of the chainsaw to tighten or loosen the chain. A properly tensioned warm chain's drive links should hang approximately 0.050 inches (1.3 mm) from the bar groove.

4. Adding Lubricating Oil
Locate the transparent oil reservoir (max 30ml) and use the provided funnel to add appropriate chainsaw lubricating oil. Press the bulb to deliver oil to the blade and chain, which helps reduce friction and extends chain life. Ensure the reservoir is not overfilled and the cap is securely closed.

Operating Instructions
Starting the Chainsaw
To activate the chainsaw, you must simultaneously press the safety lock button and then squeeze the trigger. Release the safety lock button once the chainsaw starts. Always maintain a firm grip with both hands, or one hand if using the ambidextrous design, ensuring proper balance.

Cutting Techniques
Position the chainsaw firmly against the material to be cut. Apply steady, even pressure. The brushless motor delivers a chain speed of 32.8 ft/s, allowing for efficient cutting of branches up to 6 inches in diameter in 4-6 seconds. Avoid forcing the saw, let the chain do the work. For larger branches, make multiple cuts if necessary.

Maintenance
Cleaning
After each use, disconnect the battery and use the provided cleaning brush to remove sawdust, debris, and sap from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing. Ensure ventilation slots are clear to prevent overheating.
Chain Lubrication
Regularly check the oil level in the transparent reservoir and refill as needed. The automatic oiling system ensures continuous lubrication during operation, but manual checks are essential to prevent chain wear and maintain cutting efficiency.
Battery Care
Charge the lithium-ion batteries using the provided quick charger. The batteries feature self-overload and temperature protection for extended life. Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, it is recommended to charge batteries to about 50% capacity.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chainsaw does not start | Battery not installed correctly or discharged; Safety lock not engaged; Trigger not pressed. | Ensure battery is fully charged and properly seated. Press safety lock button simultaneously with trigger. |
| Chain loosens or falls off frequently | Chain tension is too loose; Chain or guide bar worn. | Adjust chain tension using the knob until properly taut. Inspect chain and guide bar for wear and replace if necessary. |
| Reduced cutting efficiency | Chain is dull or damaged; Insufficient lubrication; Battery low. | Sharpen or replace chain. Check oil reservoir and ensure automatic oiling is functioning. Recharge battery. |
| Chainsaw overheats | Blocked ventilation holes; Continuous heavy use. | Clean ventilation holes. Allow chainsaw to cool down during prolonged use. |
