Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of your DECERK Brushless 6-Inch Mini Cordless Chainsaw, Model CCS804. Designed for portability and efficiency, this tool is suitable for various tasks such as tree pruning, branch cutting, and general wood cutting. Please read all instructions carefully before use to ensure proper handling and to prevent injury.
Safety Instructions
Operating any power tool requires adherence to strict safety guidelines. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety goggles to shield eyes from debris, safety gloves to protect hands from sharp branches and the chain, and appropriate footwear.
- Prevent Accidental Startups: Utilize the safety switch to prevent unintentional activation of the chainsaw. Always remove the battery when not in use or during maintenance.
- Secure Grip: Maintain a firm, non-slip grip on the handle during operation. The ergonomic design helps prevent slipping.
- Debris Protection: The integrated splash guard minimizes debris from splashing. However, always be aware of your surroundings and potential kickback.
- Work Area: Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders, especially children and pets. Keep the area free from obstacles that could cause you to lose balance.
- Battery Safety: Use only the specified 2000mAh Lithium Ion batteries. Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures or moisture.
- Chain Maintenance: A sharp and properly tensioned chain is crucial for safe and efficient cutting. Regularly check and adjust chain tension.

Setup
1. Battery Installation and Charging
Ensure batteries are fully charged before first use. The included charger is designed for the 21V Lithium-Ion batteries.
- Connect the charger to a power outlet and to the battery.
- The battery indicator lights will show charging status. A full charge typically takes 1.5-2 hours.
- To install the battery into the chainsaw, align the battery with the slot at the base of the handle and press firmly until it clicks into place.

2. Chain Installation and Tension Adjustment
The chainsaw comes with one chain and guide bar pre-installed. If replacement is needed, follow these steps:
- Ensure the battery is removed.
- Loosen the tension knob on the side of the chainsaw and remove the side cover.
- Carefully remove the old chain and guide bar.
- Place the new chain around the guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face the correct direction (refer to the diagram on the guide bar).
- Align the chain cover with the hole on the guide plate and reattach the side cover.
- Adjust the chain tension using the tool-free tension knob. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled around the guide bar by hand. A properly tensioned warm chain's drive links will hang about 0.050 inches (1.3mm) from the bar groove.

Video: This video demonstrates the unboxing and assembly process, including how to replace the chain and adjust its tension.
3. Automatic Oiler
The chainsaw features an automatic oiling system to lubricate the chain and bar, reducing friction and extending component life. Use general motor oil for lubrication.
- Locate the transparent oil reservoir cap (max 30ml capacity).
- Unscrew the cap and use the provided funnel to carefully fill the reservoir with bar and chain oil.
- Replace the cap securely.
- During operation, press the bulb to deliver oil to the blade and chain as needed.

Operating Instructions
Before starting, ensure all safety precautions are observed, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Starting the Chainsaw: Press the safety button located on the handle, then squeeze the trigger to activate the chain.
- Cutting Technique:
- Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands (or one hand if comfortable and safe for smaller tasks, noting its ambidextrous design).
- Allow the chain to reach full speed before making contact with the wood.
- Apply light, steady pressure. Do not force the saw through the wood. Let the chain do the work.
- Be aware of potential kickback, especially when the tip of the guide bar contacts an object.
- Branch Cutting: For branches, cut from the underside first to prevent pinching, then complete the cut from the top.
- Stopping the Chainsaw: Release the trigger. The chain will stop quickly.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your chainsaw.
- Cleaning: After each use, remove the battery and use the provided cleaning brush to clear sawdust and debris from the chain, guide bar, and motor housing.
- Chain Sharpening: A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase the risk of kickback. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it with a new one when necessary.
- Oil Level: Always check the oil reservoir before and during extended use. Ensure it is adequately filled to prevent damage to the chain and bar.
- Storage: Store the chainsaw in its carrying case in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children. Remove batteries for long-term storage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chainsaw does not start | Battery not installed correctly or discharged. Safety switch not engaged. | Ensure battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Press the safety switch before squeezing the trigger. |
| Poor cutting performance | Dull chain. Incorrect chain tension. Insufficient oil. | Sharpen or replace the chain. Adjust chain tension. Refill oil reservoir. |
| Chain stops during operation | Overload protection activated. Battery low. | Reduce cutting pressure. Recharge or replace battery. |
| Excessive vibration | Loose chain. Damaged chain or guide bar. | Adjust chain tension. Inspect chain and guide bar for damage and replace if necessary. |
