For PC connection, use the included 1-to-2 3.5mm audio jack splitter cable. Connect the red plug to your PC's microphone input and the green plug to the audio output. The USB connector cable is solely for powering the RGB lights; it does not transmit audio or microphone signals.

5. Maintenance

To maintain your headset in optimal condition, follow these guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the headset. For earmuffs, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure they are completely dry before use. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the headset.
  • Cable Care: Do not excessively bend or pull the cables. Store them neatly to prevent tangling and damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your syndesmos CM7000 Gaming Headset, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

6.1 Microphone Not Working

  • Check Mute Button: Ensure the "microphone button" on the inline control is not muted. Toggle it to the unmuted status.
  • PC Settings: Verify that the correct input device ("Realtek(R) Audio") is selected in your PC's sound settings and the volume is adjusted (refer to Section 3.3).
  • Console Settings: For consoles, check the audio input settings within the console's system or game settings to ensure the headset microphone is recognized and enabled.

6.2 RGB Lights Not Illuminating

  • USB Connection: The RGB lights are powered solely by the USB connector. Ensure the USB cable is plugged into a powered USB port on your device (PC, console, or USB power adapter).
  • Console Limitations: When connecting to consoles (Xbox, PS, Switch) or mobile devices via the 3.5mm jack, the USB cable must also be connected to a USB port for the RGB lights to function. If the USB port is not conveniently located, the lights may not be usable during gameplay.

6.3 Static Sound or Poor Audio Quality

  • Secure Connections: Ensure all cables (3.5mm jack, splitter, Xbox adapter if used) are fully and securely plugged into their respective ports. Loose connections can cause static.
  • Xbox Adapter: If using an Xbox adapter, ensure it is tightly connected to the controller.
  • Volume Levels: Adjust both the headset's inline volume control and your device's volume settings to appropriate levels.
  • Interference: Move away from other electronic devices that might cause interference.
