Setup and Installation

Shower Head Installation

Follow these steps to install your new filtered shower head:

  1. Prepare the Shower Arm: Ensure your existing shower arm is clean and free of debris.
  2. Attach Massage Bar/Filter Unit: Screw the massage bar unit (which contains the water filter) onto your existing shower arm. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench if necessary, but do not overtighten.
  3. Connect Hose: Attach one end of the long flexible shower hose to the outlet on the massage bar/filter unit.
  4. Attach Shower Head: Connect the other end of the hose to the handheld shower head.
  5. Place Shower Head: Insert the handheld shower head into the designated holder on the massage bar unit. The holder allows for adjustable height by simply pulling up or down.
  6. Flow Restrictor (Optional): The shower head comes with a flow restrictor for water conservation. If you experience low water pressure and desire a stronger flow, this restrictor can be removed. Refer to the detailed user manual for instructions on removal.

Filter Replacement

The MakeFit shower head features a revolutionary filter system designed to remove chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, and other contaminants from your shower water, leading to softer skin and hair. The filter is located within the massage bar unit.

  • Filter Life Indicator: The filter contains various beads and mineral stones. You will know it is time to replace the filter when the brown section of the filter cartridge turns black.
  • Replacement: Unscrew the massage bar unit, remove the old filter cartridge, and insert a new MakeFit replacement filter.

Troubleshooting

  • Low Water Pressure: If you experience unexpectedly low water pressure, ensure the filter is not clogged. If the filter is new, check if the flow restrictor is still installed and consider removing it if higher pressure is desired.
  • Leaks: If water leaks from connections, ensure all connections are hand-tightened securely. Check that all rubber gaskets (washers) are properly seated within the connections.
  • Caddy Adhesion Issues: Ensure the wall surface was thoroughly cleaned and dried before applying adhesives. For best results, allow adhesives to set for 24 hours before placing heavy items in the caddies.
