Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your airbrush kit for first use:

Operating Instructions

Understanding Double-Action Control

Your Powate airbrush features a double-action trigger, allowing independent control over both air and paint flow for precise results.

Air Control: Press down on the trigger to release air.
Paint Control: While holding the trigger down for air, pull the trigger back to release paint. The further you pull back, the more paint is released.
This dual control provides superior atomization and fine detail capabilities.

Adjusting Air Pressure

The compressor offers three adjustable pressure modes to suit different applications:

General Operation Tips

Always test your airbrush on a scrap surface before applying to your final project.
Maintain a consistent distance between the airbrush and the surface for even coverage.
Move the airbrush in smooth, even strokes.
For fine lines, move closer to the surface and pull the trigger back minimally. For broader coverage, move further away and pull the trigger back more.
Ensure proper ventilation when working with paints and cleaning solutions.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is crucial for maintaining the performance and longevity of your airbrush kit. Clean your airbrush immediately after each use, especially when changing colors or finishing a session.

Empty Paint Cup: Disconnect the airbrush from the compressor. Empty any remaining paint from the cup.
Flush with Cleaner: Pour a small amount of appropriate airbrush cleaner or water (depending on paint type) into the cup. Spray through the airbrush onto a paper towel or into a cleaning pot until the spray runs clear.
Back-Flush: For a deeper clean, place your finger over the nozzle cap and press the trigger for air. This will force air back into the paint cup, creating bubbles that help dislodge paint residue. Repeat with cleaner until the cup is clean.
Disassemble and Clean: For thorough cleaning, carefully disassemble the airbrush. Use the provided cleaning brushes and needles to clean the paint cup, nozzle, needle, and air cap. Be gentle to avoid bending the needle or damaging the nozzle.
Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, carefully reassemble the airbrush.
Compressor Maintenance: Keep the compressor clean and free of dust. Ensure the air filter (if present) is clean.
