2. Safety Information

Adhering to these safety guidelines is crucial for preventing injury and damage to the product.

  • Snow Capacity and Wind Rating: Regularly check the snow capacity and wind rating specifications for your gazebo. Clear snow accumulation promptly to prevent structural damage. Take protective measures, such as removing curtains and securing the structure, when wind speeds approach or exceed rated values.
  • Anchoring: Ensure all four anchors are firmly secured to the ground. Proper anchoring is essential for stability, especially in windy conditions.
  • Assembly Personnel: A minimum of two people are required for safe and efficient installation. Attempting to assemble alone may lead to injury or damage.
  • Tools: Ladders and protective gloves are required for installation. Ensure all tools are in good working condition.
  • Site Selection: Choose a level and stable surface for installation. Avoid areas prone to water accumulation or excessive wind exposure.
  • Clearance: Maintain adequate clearance around the gazebo from trees, power lines, and other structures.

3. Package Contents

Your YOLENY Hardtop Gazebo is shipped in multiple boxes (typically 4). It is common for these boxes to arrive on different days. Please do not be concerned if you receive only one box initially; the remaining boxes will follow. Before beginning assembly, verify that all parts listed in the included instruction manual are present and undamaged. Contact customer support if any parts are missing or damaged.

4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly requires at least two individuals, ladders, and gloves. Follow the step-by-step diagrams provided in your physical instruction manual. The following tips will aid in a smoother assembly process:

  1. Preparation: Lay out all parts and identify them using the labels. Remove all stickers from parts before assembly to avoid residue.
  2. Frame Assembly: When assembling the main frame, loosely install all bolts first. Tighten them only after all components for a section are correctly aligned and in place. This allows for minor adjustments.
  3. Roof Panel Installation: The roof panels require careful installation. Do not fully tighten the roof frame bolts until all roof panels are correctly seated. Some users find it necessary to temporarily loosen corner connections of the roof frame to properly fit the panels. Be gentle with roof panel clips as they can dislodge easily.
  4. Post Stability: The gazebo features sturdy 3.94" x 3.94" triangular powder-coated aluminum frames with pre-drilled bases. Ensure the posts are level before tightening horizontal beams. Mark the floor to maintain plumb and level during roof installation.
  5. Tools: An impact driver with an appropriate Allen head bit (4mm) can expedite assembly, but use with caution to avoid over-torquing or stripping screws. Extra fasteners are provided; if a screw cross-threads, use a new one.
  6. Curtain and Netting System: The gazebo includes a dual rail system for easy operation of the zippered double-layer sidewalls (curtains and netting). Install these after the main structure is complete.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your gazebo.

  • Cleaning: Clean the galvanized steel roof and aluminum frame with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Fabric Care: The curtains and netting can be spot cleaned with mild soap and water. For deeper cleaning, follow care instructions on the fabric tags. Ensure they are completely dry before storing or closing for extended periods to prevent mildew.
  • Snow Removal: During winter, regularly clear snow from the roof to prevent excessive weight accumulation, which can cause structural collapse.
  • Wind Protection: In anticipation of strong winds, secure all curtains and netting, or remove them if extreme weather is expected. Ensure the gazebo is properly anchored at all times.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect all bolts, connections, and frame components for tightness and signs of wear or damage. Tighten any loose fasteners.
  • Gutter System: The sloping roof design includes leakage holes to facilitate rainwater runoff. Regularly check and clear these holes and any integrated gutter systems of leaves and debris to ensure proper drainage.
