3. Product Features

3.1 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling (ANC)

The KZ Carol earbuds feature a 6-microphone hybrid noise-canceling system with dedicated processing hardware. This technology maximizes noise canceling performance, providing immersive audio whether you're on a flight or taking a nap. It effectively isolates ambient noise for a superior listening experience.

3.2 Hi-Fi Sound Quality & HD Voice

Equipped with a super-linear wide-band internal magnetic dynamic driver and an N52 neodymium-iron-boron strong magnetic system, these earbuds deliver exceptional sound quality. Experience deep bass, precise midrange, and detailed high frequencies. The 6HD mics ensure crystal-clear calls, even in noisy environments.

3.3 Comfort, Light, and Secure Fit

3.4 IPX5 Water and Sweat Resistant

With an IPX5 waterproof rating, the Carol earbuds are resistant to rain, sweat, and rinsing. This ensures durability and longevity, providing reliable protection whether you're working out or outdoors.

3.5 Smart Dual-Connect & Bluetooth 5.3

Experience seamless connectivity with multipoint connection technology, allowing you to effortlessly switch between two devices. The latest Bluetooth 5.3 technology offers faster transmission speeds, lower power consumption, and enhanced interference resistance. Integration with voice assistants like Siri and convenient UI controls for hands-free calls are also supported.

3.6 Low Latency Gaming

Activate KZ's exclusive "High-Performance Mode" to reduce latency to approximately 55ms, providing a seamless gaming experience with precise sound localization.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Pairing

1. Ensure the earbuds are charged (see 4.2 Charging).
2. Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth.
4. Search for "KZ Carol" in the list of available Bluetooth devices.
5. Select "KZ Carol" to connect. You will hear a voice prompt confirming successful connection.

4.2 Charging

To charge the earbuds, place them back into the charging case. The earbuds will automatically begin charging. The charging case itself can be charged via the USB-C port located at the back of the case. The indicator light on the case will illuminate green when fully charged, and red when low on battery.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Touch Controls

The KZ Carol earbuds feature intuitive touch controls for easy management of music and calls. Refer to the included user manual for a detailed diagram of specific touch gestures for functions like play/pause, skip tracks, answer/end calls, and activating voice assistant.

5.2 Noise Control Modes

The earbuds offer three distinct noise control modes:

• Transparency Mode: Allows external sounds to be clearly audible, enabling you to engage in conversations without removing the earbuds.
• Active Noise-Cancelling Mode: Reduces external environmental noise for an immersive listening experience.
• Standard Mode: Provides a balanced and smooth audio output suitable for a wide variety of music genres.

Press and hold the left earbud's touch control for 2 seconds to activate Transparency Mode. Press and hold again for 2 seconds to switch to Active Noise-Cancelling Mode. Continue pressing and holding to cycle through Standard Mode, Transparency Mode, and Active Noise-Cancelling Mode.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your KZ Carol earbuds, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Ear Tips: Remove and clean the ear tips periodically. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching. Replace ear tips if they become damaged or worn.
• Water Resistance: While IPX5 rated, avoid submerging the earbuds in water. Dry them thoroughly if they get wet from sweat or rain. Do not charge if wet.
• Storage: Store the earbuds in their charging case when not in use to protect them from dust and damage. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures.

If you encounter any issues with your KZ Carol earbuds, try the following troubleshooting steps:

• No Sound/Poor Sound Quality:
  • Ensure earbuds are properly paired and connected to your device.
  • Check the volume level on both the earbuds and your device.
  • Ensure ear tips are correctly fitted and clean.
  • Try resetting the earbuds (refer to the included user manual for reset instructions).
• Earbuds Not Pairing:
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Ensure earbuds are fully charged.
  • Forget/remove "KZ Carol" from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to re-pair.
  • Ensure your device's Bluetooth version is compatible (Bluetooth 5.3 recommended). Older devices may experience connectivity issues.
• Charging Issues:
  • Verify the USB-C cable and power adapter are working correctly.
  • Ensure the charging contacts on the earbuds and in the case are clean and free of debris.
  • Check the charging indicator light on the case (green for full, red for low).
• Touch Control Sensitivity:
  • Some users may find the touch sensor sensitive. Adjusting how you handle the earbuds when inserting or adjusting them can help prevent accidental touches.
