Some models may feature a dial on the milk tank to adjust the froth level. Rotate the dial to your desired setting before brewing a milk-based drink.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your coffee maker.
6.1 Daily Cleaning
- Portafilter and Filter Basket: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard grounds, and rinse thoroughly under warm water.
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray daily or when the indicator floats up.
- Milk Frother System: After making milk-based drinks, remove the milk tank. If your model has a "Clean" function for the milk system, activate it. Otherwise, disassemble the frother components and wash them with warm, soapy water. Ensure no milk residue remains.

Mineral deposits from water can build up in the machine over time, affecting performance. Descale your coffee maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Empty the water tank and fill it with a descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaler) according to the descaler's instructions.
- Place a large container under the portafilter and the steam wand.
- Run several cycles of espresso and steam until the water tank is empty.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill with fresh water.
- Run several cycles of fresh water through the machine to rinse out any descaling solution residue.
