2. Safety Instructions

To ensure your safety and the longevity of the equipment, please observe the following precautions:

  • Always consult a physician before starting any exercise program.
  • Keep children and pets away from the treadmill during operation.
  • Ensure the treadmill is placed on a flat, stable surface with adequate clearance around it.
  • Do not operate the treadmill on carpets thicker than 1.3 cm (0.5 inches) to ensure proper ventilation and performance.
  • Always use the safety key during operation. Attach the clip to your clothing. If you fall or move too far back on the belt, the safety key will detach, stopping the treadmill.
  • Keep hands and feet clear of all moving parts.
  • Do not use the treadmill if it is damaged or malfunctioning.
  • Unplug the treadmill from the power outlet when not in use, before cleaning, or before performing any maintenance.
  • Keep the treadmill dry and away from moisture.

4. Setup and Assembly

The Acte E41 Treadmill requires assembly. It is recommended that two people perform the assembly to ensure safety and ease.

4.1 Unpacking

  • Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  • Check the contents against the packing list to ensure all parts are present.
  • Place all parts on a clear, flat surface.

4.2 Assembly Steps (General Guidance)

4.3 Initial Placement

  • Position the treadmill on a level, solid surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 2 meters (6.5 feet) of clear space behind the treadmill and 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) on each side.
  • Connect the power cord to a suitable Bivolt (110-220V) outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel Functions

  • Display: Shows time, distance, speed, and calories burned.
  • Start/Stop Buttons: Initiate or halt the treadmill belt.
  • Speed Adjustment: Buttons to increase or decrease the running speed (1.0 to 10.0 KPH). Quick speed buttons (e.g., 3, 5, 7 KPH) are also available.
  • Program (PROG) Button: Selects from 12 pre-defined training programs.
  • Mode (MODO) Button: Allows setting target goals for time, distance, or calories.
  • Safety Key Slot: The treadmill will not operate without the safety key inserted.

5.2 Starting a Workout

  1. Ensure the treadmill is plugged in and the power switch (if present, usually at the front base) is ON.
  2. Stand on the side rails of the treadmill, not on the belt.
  3. Attach the safety key clip to your clothing and insert the safety key into its slot on the console.
  4. Press the Start button. The belt will begin moving at a low speed.
  5. Carefully step onto the moving belt and adjust the speed using the speed adjustment buttons to your desired pace.

5.3 Using Pre-defined Programs

  • From standby, press the PROG button repeatedly to cycle through the 12 available programs.
  • Once you select a program, press Start to begin. The treadmill will automatically adjust speed according to the program's profile.

5.4 Setting Target Goals

  • From standby, press the MODO button to select a target: Time, Distance, or Calories.
  • Use the speed adjustment buttons to set your desired target value.
  • Press Start to begin your workout. The treadmill will stop once the target is reached.

5.5 Ending a Workout

  • Press the Stop button to gradually slow down and stop the treadmill belt.
  • Alternatively, pull the safety key to immediately stop the treadmill in an emergency.
  • Once the belt has stopped, step off the treadmill.

5.6 Warm-up and Cool-down

Maximize your results and prevent injuries by performing an adequate warm-up before your workout and a cool-down afterwards.

  • Warm-up: Begin with 5-10 minutes of light activity, such as walking at a slow pace, to prepare your muscles.
  • Cool-down: Finish your workout with 5-10 minutes of slow walking, followed by stretching exercises. Recommended stretches include head turns, shoulder raises, quadriceps stretches, and calf stretches. Hold each stretch for 15-30 seconds.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your treadmill.

  • Cleaning: Keep the treadmill clean by wiping it with a damp cloth after each use. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: When not in use, keep the treadmill dry and disconnected from the power outlet. The foldable design allows for compact storage.
