3. Setup Guide

3.1 Attaching the SSD to Your Device

1. For MagSafe-compatible iPhones (iPhone 15/16/17 Pro Max): Simply align the GiGimundo M20 SSD with the MagSafe area on the back of your iPhone. The magnets will securely attach the SSD.
2. For non-magnetic phones or cases: Use the included magnetic attraction ring. Clean the back of your phone or case thoroughly. Peel off the adhesive backing from the magnetic ring and firmly press it onto the desired location on your device. Once attached, the SSD can be magnetically secured to the ring.

Note: The magnetic attraction ring is not required for devices with built-in MagSafe compatibility.

3.2 Connecting the SSD

1. Connect one end of the provided USB-C data transfer cable to the USB-C port on the GiGimundo M20 SSD.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to the USB-C port on your compatible device (iPhone 15/16/17 Pro Max, tablet, laptop, or desktop).
3. The SSD should be automatically recognized by your device. For computers, it may appear as an external drive. For iPhones, it will be accessible through the Files app.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Data Transfer

• For Computers: Drag and drop files to and from the GiGimundo M20 SSD as you would with any other external drive.
• For iPhones/Tablets: Use the native Files app (or a third-party file manager) to browse, copy, move, and manage files on the SSD.

4.2 4K ProRes HDR Recording with iPhone 15/16 Pro/Pro Max

The GiGimundo M20 SSD is optimized for direct 4K ProRes HDR video recording with compatible iPhones.

1. Ensure your iPhone is a 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16 Pro, or 16 Pro Max model.
2. Connect the M20 SSD to your iPhone via the USB-C cable.
3. Open the Camera app on your iPhone.
4. In the Camera settings, enable ProRes recording. You may need to navigate to Settings > Camera > Formats > Apple ProRes and toggle it on.
5. Select the desired ProRes resolution and frame rate (e.g., 4K 60Hz).
6. The iPhone camera interface should indicate that it is recording to "USB-C" or an external storage device.
7. Begin recording. Your ProRes video will be saved directly to the GiGimundo M20 SSD.

Note: iPhone Series 14 and lower models require a C-L power supply adapter for photo and file backup only. They do NOT support recording ProRes 4K to external storage. iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max supports up to 4K 60Hz, while iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max supports up to 4K 120Hz.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the SSD. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Storage: Store the SSD in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Safe Ejection: Always safely eject the SSD from your device before disconnecting it to prevent data corruption.
