Introduction
Thank you for choosing the dearnow 60-inch Ceiling Fan. This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your new ceiling fan. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and keep it for future reference. This fan features solid wood blades, a quiet DC motor, integrated LED lighting, and convenient remote control operation, suitable for both indoor and outdoor (moisture-resistant) environments.
Important Safety Information
- Electrical Safety: Always disconnect power at the circuit breaker before installation or servicing. Ensure all wiring connections comply with local electrical codes. If you are unsure about wiring, consult a qualified electrician.
- Mounting: The mounting structure must be capable of supporting the weight of the fan (at least 35 lbs). Use only the provided mounting hardware or suitable alternatives that meet safety standards. For sloped ceilings, ensure the inclination angle is less than 15 degrees.
- Blade Clearance: Ensure fan blades are at least 7 feet (2.1 meters) from the floor and have adequate clearance from walls or other obstructions.
- Fan Operation: Do not insert objects into the path of the fan blades while the fan is operating.
- Light Source: The integrated LED light source is not user-replaceable. Contact customer support if the light requires service.
- Remote Control: Keep the remote control away from water and extreme temperatures.

Setup and Installation
Professional installation is recommended. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before proceeding.
- Prepare Mounting Location: Securely attach the mounting bracket to a ceiling joist or an approved electrical junction box capable of supporting the fan's weight. For wooden structures, drill pilot holes before inserting mounting screws to prevent stripping.
- Assemble Downrod: Insert the downrod through the canopy and connect it to the fan motor assembly. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.
- Hang Fan: Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it from the mounting bracket. Ensure the downrod ball is properly seated in the bracket's opening.
- Wiring: Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram provided in the separate wiring guide (not included in this manual). Ensure all connections are secure with wire nuts.
- Attach Blades: Securely attach the three solid wood fan blades to the motor housing. Ensure they are evenly spaced and tightened to prevent wobble.
- Install Light Kit: Connect the LED light kit wiring and attach the light kit to the bottom of the fan motor assembly.
- Final Checks: Double-check all connections and ensure no wires are pinched. Restore power at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions
Your dearnow ceiling fan is operated using the included remote control.
Remote Control Functions:
- Fan ON/OFF: Press the fan button to turn the fan on or off.
- Fan Speed Adjustment: Use the speed buttons (1-6) to select your desired fan speed. Speed 1 is the lowest, and Speed 6 is the highest.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your ceiling fan.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the fan blades and motor housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish. Ensure power is off before cleaning.
- Tighten Fasteners: Check all screws and fasteners on the fan blades and mounting hardware annually. Tighten any loose connections to prevent wobble and ensure safe operation.
- Blade Inspection: Inspect the solid wood blades for any signs of damage or warping. Replace damaged blades immediately.
- Light Cover: Clean the light cover gently with a soft cloth to maintain light output.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your fan, refer to the following troubleshooting guide. If the problem persists, contact dearnow customer support.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Fan does not start | No power to the fan; Loose wire connections; Remote control battery low or not paired. | Check circuit breaker and wall switch. Ensure all wiring connections are secure. Replace remote battery or re-pair remote according to instructions (if applicable). |
| Fan wobbles | Loose blade screws; Unbalanced blades; Loose mounting bracket. | Ensure all blade screws are tight. Check that the mounting bracket is securely fastened to the ceiling. While a balancing kit is not included for this style of blade, ensure blades are installed evenly. |
| Light does not work | Loose wire connection to light kit; LED light failure. | Check light kit wiring connections. If the integrated LED light fails, contact customer support for assistance. |
| Remote control not responding | Low battery; Remote not paired; Obstruction between remote and receiver. | Replace remote battery. Ensure there are no obstructions. Re-pair remote if necessary (refer to specific remote pairing instructions, usually involves pressing a button on the remote within a few seconds of restoring power to the fan). |
| Light color temperature does not stay set | Incorrect procedure for setting memory. | To set the desired color temperature, select it and leave the light on for at least 7 seconds. When turning off the light, ensure it remains off for at least 15 seconds before turning it back on. This procedure allows the light to retain the last selected color temperature. |
