  • Video Cable (Yellow RCA): Connect one end to the camera's video output and the other end to the video input of your monitor or car stereo.
  • Power Cable (Red/Black Wires):
    • Connect the red wire to the positive (+) power of your vehicle's reverse light (12V). This ensures the camera powers on automatically when reversing.
    • Connect the black wire to a reliable ground point on your vehicle chassis.
  • Trigger Wire (if applicable): Some monitors or car stereos require a trigger wire to automatically switch to the backup camera display. Connect the small red wire extending from the RCA video cable to the reverse light's positive (+) power, and the corresponding trigger input on your monitor/stereo.

3. Testing the Installation

After completing all connections, turn on your vehicle and engage reverse gear. The camera image should appear on your display. Adjust the camera angle if necessary to achieve the optimal view.

Operating Instructions

Automatic Activation

When properly installed, the camera will automatically activate and display the rear view on your connected monitor or car stereo as soon as you shift your vehicle into reverse gear.

Parking Guide Lines

The camera features built-in parking guide lines that appear on the screen when reversing. These lines assist in judging distance and positioning, making parking easier and safer.

Wide Viewing Angle

The 170° ultra-wide viewing angle minimizes blind spots, providing a comprehensive view of the area behind your vehicle. This is crucial for detecting obstacles, children, or pets that may be out of sight in traditional mirrors.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your CAMECHO Backup Camera, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the camera lens with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, or water spots that may obstruct the view. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Check Connections: Occasionally inspect all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Waterproof Design: The camera is IP66 waterproof, designed to withstand rain and car washes. However, avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the camera for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your CAMECHO Backup Camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Image on Display:

    • Verify the camera is receiving 12V power when the vehicle is in reverse.
    • Check if your monitor/stereo is set to the correct video input channel.
    • Confirm the trigger wire (if used) is correctly connected to the reverse light and monitor.
  • Flickering or Distorted Image:
    • Check for loose video cable connections.
    • Ensure the power supply is stable (12V).
    • Verify the ground connection is solid.
    • Test the camera with a different monitor or power source if possible to isolate the issue.
  • Poor Night Vision:
    • Clean the camera lens thoroughly.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's view or the LED lights.
  • Parking Lines Not Appearing:
    • The parking lines are typically built into the camera chip and should appear automatically. If they are missing, ensure the camera is functioning correctly otherwise. Some monitors may have settings to enable/disable parking lines, check your monitor's manual.
