2. Safety Information
Your safety is paramount. This appliance incorporates several safety features. Always follow these guidelines:
- ETL Certified: The cooktop is ETL certified, ensuring it meets recognized safety standards.
- Child Safety Lock: Activate the safety lock to prevent accidental operation, especially by children.
- Hot Surface Indicator: An 'H' will display on the control panel when the cooking surface is hot after use, even if the burner is off. Do not touch the surface until the indicator disappears.
- Overheat Protection: The cooktop will automatically shut off if it detects excessive temperatures. An error code (e.g., E5) may appear. Allow the unit to cool down before resuming use.
- Automatic Shutoff: The cooktop features an automatic shutoff function for added safety.
- Shared Power Technology: The 1800W power is shared between the two burners. This design safeguards RV electrical circuits by preventing overload. Understand the power distribution to avoid unexpected power reductions on one burner when the other is in use.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your cooktop, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cooktop does not turn on. | No power supply; unit not plugged in; power button not held long enough. | Ensure the cooktop is securely plugged into a working 120V outlet. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least one second. |
| Cookware is not heating. | Cookware is not induction-compatible; cookware is too small or too large; no cookware on burner. | Use only magnetic, induction-compatible cookware (4.7-9.4 inches diameter). Place cookware centrally on the burner. |
| Error Code E5 displayed. | Overheat protection activated (e.g., dry boiling). | Remove cookware and allow the cooktop to cool down for several minutes. The error should clear automatically once cooled. |
| One burner's power reduces unexpectedly. | Shared power limit (1800W total) exceeded by both burners. | Adjust the power settings of both burners to ensure their combined wattage does not exceed 1800W. |
| Loud beeping sound. | Normal operation feedback for button presses. | This is normal. The cooktop provides audible feedback for touch controls. |
