Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, especially after measuring dusty grains, use the provided small brush to clean the grain funnel, dropping bucket, and measurement sensors. Ensure no grain residue remains inside the device.
  • Storage: Store the moisture meter in its portable aluminum case in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Replacement: If using AA batteries, replace all four batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure consistent performance.
  • Calibration Weight: Keep the 200g calibration weight clean and free from damage. Store it securely in the case.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device does not power on. Low or depleted batteries; power adapter not connected properly. Replace AA batteries or ensure AC power adapter is securely connected and receiving power.
Inaccurate measurements. Device not calibrated; grain residue in sensors; incorrect grain type selected. Perform weight calibration. Clean the measurement sensors and funnel. Verify the correct grain species is selected.
Display shows error message. Internal error; sensor obstruction. Power off the device, wait a few seconds, then power it back on. Ensure no foreign objects are obstructing the sensors. If the error persists, contact customer support.
