Initial Setup

Operating Instructions

1. Preparing Espresso or Coffee

1. Select Basket: Choose the appropriate filter basket (single, double, or Luxe) for your desired coffee strength and quantity. Insert it into the portafilter.
2. Grind Beans: Place the portafilter under the integrated grinder. Use the grind size selector to choose from 25 available settings. The Barista Assist Technology provides recommendations for optimal grind size. Press the grind button to dispense fresh coffee grounds into the portafilter.
3. Tamp Grounds: Use the integrated assisted tamper to compress the coffee grounds evenly in the portafilter.
4. Attach Portafilter: Insert the portafilter into the brew head and twist to lock it securely in place.
5. Select Brew: Choose your desired coffee style (Espresso, Coffee, Cold Brew) and brew intensity from the control panel.
6. Brew: Press the brew button to start the brewing process. The machine will automatically dispense your selected beverage.

2. Frothing Milk

The automated frother allows for hands-free milk preparation with various textures.

1. Fill Pitcher: Fill the XL frothing pitcher with milk or a plant-based alternative to the desired level.
2. Place Pitcher: Position the frothing pitcher under the frothing wand.
3. Select Foam Preset: Choose one of the 5 automated foam presets: Steamed Milk, Fine Foam, Thick Foam, Ultra-Thick Foam, or Cold Foam.
4. Start Frothing: Press the frothing button. The machine will heat and whisk the milk to create the selected micro-foam texture.
5. Manual Steam Wand: For manual frothing, use the steam wand function to control milk texture and temperature directly.

3. Creating Specialty Drinks

Combine your freshly brewed coffee or espresso with frothed milk to create a variety of specialty beverages like lattes and cappuccinos.

Maintenance and Cleaning
