Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your KVM switch, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Display/Signal:
    • Ensure all DisplayPort and HDMI cables are securely connected to both the KVM switch and your monitors/computers.
    • Verify that the correct input source is selected on your monitors.
    • Confirm that your computers are powered on and outputting a signal.
    • Check if your computers support multi-display by connecting them directly to the monitors.
    • Press the power switch on the KVM to restart it, allowing for signal re-recognition.
    • Ensure you are using qualified DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 cables.
  • USB Devices Not Working:
    • Ensure the USB 3.0 cables from each PC are connected to the KVM switch to power it and transfer USB data.
    • Verify that the 12V power adapter is connected and providing power to the KVM, especially for high-power USB devices.
    • Try connecting the USB device directly to the computer to confirm it is functional.
  • Incorrect Resolution/Refresh Rate:
    • Ensure your monitors and graphics cards support the desired resolution and refresh rate (e.g., 8K@60Hz or 4K@144Hz).
    • Use high-quality DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 cables. Lower quality or older cables may limit performance.
    • Update your graphics card drivers on both computers.
  • Switching Delays or Instability:
    • Ensure all cables are securely connected. Loose connections can cause intermittent issues.
    • Restart the KVM switch using its power button.
    • Ensure the 12V power adapter is correctly connected and functioning.
