3. Setup & Installation

3.1 Mounting Options

The Carpuride W702PRO offers two primary mounting methods: the U-shaped Extension Rod Bracket and the Square Bracket. Choose the method that best suits your motorcycle's handlebar configuration.

U-shaped Extension Rod Bracket Installation

1. Attach the mount to the handlebar using a Phillips screwdriver.
2. Clamp the connecting rod to the mount. Ensure it is securely fastened.
3. Insert the device and adjust its position as desired. Tighten the adjustment ring to secure the screen.
4. Verify that the installation is complete and the device is stable.

Square Bracket Installation

1. Use the provided silicone pads (12mm or 18mm) to fit your handlebar. If not used, the maximum handlebar diameter is 22mm.

3. Align the grooves at the connection point of the motorcycle screen bracket and slide the screen in. Then tighten with screws.
4. Confirm that the installation is complete and the device is firmly attached.

3.2 Power Connection Options

The W702PRO offers two methods for power connection:

Using the USB Boost Cable

• If your motorcycle's USB port provides 5V and 2.5A or higher, you can use the USB boost cable to directly connect the W702PRO device to the motorcycle's USB port.
• Note: If the USB port outputs less than 5V, 2A, it is not recommended to use this method, as insufficient power may cause the screen to shut down automatically.

Using the Motorcycle Power Line

• Connect the motorcycle power line to provide 12V and 1A to the battery.
• The W702PRO has built-in reverse protection, preventing damage if the cable is connected incorrectly.

4. Connectivity

4.1 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The W702PRO supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing you to mirror your smartphone's essential functions onto the screen.

CarPlay Requirements:

• An iPhone running iOS 6 or above.
• CarPlay system and iPhone's voice system must be turned on.
• Siri must be enabled.

Android Auto Requirements:

• A phone that supports 5GHz Wi-Fi.
• A phone running Android 11 or above.
• The Android Auto app must be installed and updated to the latest version.

Dual Connection Mode (Music Sharing & Intercom)

The upgraded dual Bluetooth technology allows two Bluetooth helmets to connect simultaneously via the BT Trans function. This enables the rider and passenger to share music and use the intercom function.

• Effective Bluetooth range for intercom is approximately 10 meters.
• In BT Trans mode, voice assistant commands and phone call audio are transmitted to Bluetooth 1. It is recommended that the primary rider connects to Bluetooth 1.
• Note: Intercom mode and BT Trans mode cannot be used at the same time. Only one of them can be used at a time.

5.1 Core Functions (CarPlay/Android Auto)

Once connected, you can access various smartphone functions directly from the W702PRO screen:

• Navigation: Use map applications like Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze for turn-by-turn directions.
• Phone Calls: Make and receive calls hands-free using Siri or Google Assistant.
• Music Playback: Control music from apps like Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube Music.

• Note: The accessory 64GTF card does not support software upgrades. It only supports storing music and videos for local playback. For software updates, use a smaller capacity card (32, 16, 8, 4GB).

• Device not turning on: Check all power connections for secure fit. Verify the motorcycle's power source is active.

7.2 Connectivity Issues

• Bluetooth connection unstable: Ensure your phone and headset/helmet are within the effective 10m range. Avoid connecting your mobile phone directly to the Bluetooth helmet/earphone when pairing with the Carpuride screen, as this may interfere with the pairing process.
• CarPlay/Android Auto not connecting: Verify your smartphone meets the OS and Wi-Fi requirements (iOS 6+ for CarPlay, Android 11+ with 5GHz Wi-Fi for Android Auto). Ensure Siri/Google Assistant is enabled and the respective apps are updated.

• Updating software: Use a small capacity TF card (32, 16, 8, or 4GB) for software upgrades. The included 64GTF card is for media storage only and does not support updates.
