Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions before operating the toaster.

- A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
- Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
- Do not operate unattended.

Setup
- Unpack the toaster and remove all packaging materials.
- Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials.
- Ensure the crumb tray is properly inserted.
- Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
- For first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest browning setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal. Allow the toaster to cool completely.
Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for optimal toasting results:

- Insert Bread: Place up to four slices of bread, bagels, or other items into the wide slots. Ensure items are not too thick or too large to fit without touching the heating elements.
- Select Browning Level: Turn the browning control dial to your desired setting (1 for lightest, 6 for darkest).
- Lower the Lever: Press the pop-up lever down until it locks into place. The indicator light for the selected function (or default toasting) will illuminate.
- Choose Function (Optional):
- BAGEL: Press the BAGEL button after lowering the lever. The indicator light will turn blue. This function toasts the cut side of the bagel while warming the other side.
- DEFROST: Press the DEFROST button after lowering the lever. The indicator light will turn blue. This function thaws and toasts frozen items.
- Toasting Cycle: The toaster will automatically center the bread and begin toasting. Once the selected browning level is reached, the toast will automatically pop up, and the indicator light will turn off.
- Cancel Toasting: To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the CANCEL button. The lever will immediately pop up.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your toaster.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Dispose of crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
- Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.
