4. Setup
4.1 Mechanical Installation
- Ensure all power to the electrical panel is turned off at the main breaker.
- Locate an available space on the DIN rail within your electrical panel.
- Attach the GTS8-W switch to the DIN rail by pressing it down until it clicks into place.
4.2 Electrical Wiring
Refer to the wiring diagram on the device or in this section for correct connections. Incorrect wiring can cause damage or electrical hazards.
- Connect the incoming live (L) and neutral (N) wires to the input terminals marked 'IN' and 'N' respectively.

4.3 App Installation and Device Pairing
- Download the Tuya Smart app from your mobile device's app store or by scanning the QR code on the device (see Figure 3). You can also visit https://smartapp.tuya.com/tuyasmart.
- Register or log in to your Tuya Smart account.
- Restore power to the electrical panel. The device's indicator light should begin flashing, indicating pairing mode. If not, press and hold the power button on the device for 5-7 seconds until it flashes rapidly.
- In the Tuya Smart app, tap '+' to add a device. Select 'Electrical Switch' or 'Circuit Breaker (Wi-Fi)'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to connect the device to your Wi-Fi network. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz.
- Once successfully paired, the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Manual Control
Press the power button on the front panel of the device (refer to Figure 1) to manually turn the connected load ON or OFF. The relay status indicator will change accordingly.
5.2 App Control and Scheduling
- Open the Tuya Smart app and select your GTS8-W device.
- Remote ON/OFF: Use the toggle switch in the app to turn the device ON or OFF remotely.
- Scheduling: Navigate to the 'Schedule' or 'Timer' section within the device interface in the app.
- Set desired ON/OFF times, days of the week, and repeat options. Save your schedules.
- Countdown Timer: Use the countdown function to automatically turn the device OFF after a set period.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or damage.
- Firmware Updates: Check the Tuya Smart app regularly for available firmware updates for your device to ensure optimal performance and security.
