5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking and Inspection

• Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
• Inspect the machine, cables, and accessories for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
• Ensure the power switch is in the 'OFF' position before plugging in.

5.2 Attaching Cables and Cutters

1. Select the appropriate cable (66 FT x 5/8" for larger drains, 15 FT x 3/8" for smaller, more flexible needs) and cutter for the job.
2. Attach the chosen cutter to the end of the cable using the provided attachment key/pin. Ensure it is securely fastened.
3. Feed the cable into the machine's opening.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Preparing for Operation

• Position the machine near the drain opening.
• Wear heavy-duty gloves to handle the cable.
• Plug the machine into a suitable power outlet.

6.2 Feeding the Cable

1. Manually feed the cable into the drain opening until it reaches the blockage.
2. Once the cable is in position, engage the manual feeding control system to manage the cable's movement.

6.3 Using CW/CCW Control

• The machine features a CW/CCW (Clockwise/Counter-Clockwise) switch for forward and reverse rotation of the cable.
• Set the switch to 'CW' for forward rotation to advance the cable and break through clogs.
• Use 'CCW' for reverse rotation to retract the cable or dislodge it if it becomes stuck.
• Always ensure the machine is powered off before changing the direction of rotation.

6.4 Clearing Blockages

• Once the cutter engages the clog, allow the machine to work. Do not apply excessive force.
• Slowly feed the cable forward and backward to break up the obstruction.
• If the cable gets stuck, use the 'CCW' setting to retract it slightly, then try again with 'CW'.
• After clearing the blockage, retract the cable completely.
