Setup

1. Physical Installation

The switch features a durable metal casing and a fanless design for quiet operation. It supports both desktop placement and wall-mounting.

• Desktop Placement: Place the switch on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation.
• Wall-Mounting: Use appropriate screws (not included) to secure the device to a wall using the mounting holes on the chassis. Ensure the mounting location allows for proper cable management and ventilation.

2. Power Connection

1. Connect the provided power cable to the DC input port (12V 1.0A) on the rear panel of the switch.
2. Plug the other end of the power cable into a standard electrical outlet.
3. The power indicator LED on the front panel will illuminate, indicating the device is powered on.

3. Network Connections

The switch features 5 x 2.5Gb RJ45 ports and 1 x 10G SFP+ port.

4. Initial Web Management Access

The switch is a web-smart managed device, allowing configuration via a web browser.

1. Ensure your computer is connected to one of the switch's RJ45 ports.

Web Management Features

Access the web interface using the default IP (192.168.2.1) and credentials (admin/admin) to configure the following:

• VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network): Segment your network for improved security and performance.
• QoS (Quality of Service): Prioritize network traffic for critical applications like voice or video.
• Multicast: Efficiently deliver data to multiple recipients simultaneously (e.g., IGMP Snooping).
• MAC Address Management: Control access based on MAC addresses.
• Static Aggregation: Combine multiple physical links into a single logical link for increased bandwidth and redundancy. Note: This switch supports static link aggregation only and does not support dynamic link aggregation (802.3ad LACP).
• Jumbo Frame: Support for larger Ethernet frames (up to 16KB) to improve data transfer efficiency for large files.
• Port Mirroring: Monitor network traffic by sending copies of packets from one port to another.

LED Indicators

The front panel LEDs provide status information:

Cleaning

• No Power:

• No Link on a Port:

• Slow Network Speed:
  • Ensure you are using appropriate Ethernet cables (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a) for 2.5G speeds.
  • Check the speed indicator LEDs on the switch to confirm the link speed.
  • Verify the capabilities of your connected devices (network cards, NAS, etc.) support 2.5G or 10G.
  • Access the web management interface to check port statistics and configurations (e.g., QoS settings).
• Cannot Access Web Management Interface:
  • Ensure your computer's IP address is in the same subnet as the switch (default 192.168.2.x).
  • Verify the default IP address (192.168.2.1) is entered correctly in the browser.
  • If the IP address was changed and forgotten, perform a factory reset.
  • Disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer temporarily to rule out interference.
