1. Introduction

4. Setup Instructions

1. Attach the Table Clamp:

   Locate the slot on the underside of the winder's base. Insert the table clamp into this slot. Tighten the screw on the clamp until it is firmly secured to a stable table or desk edge. Ensure the winder is stable and does not wobble.

2. Position the Yarn Guide Arm:

   The metal yarn guide arm should be positioned upright. It typically clicks into place when fully extended.

3. Prepare Your Yarn:

   Place your skein or hank of yarn in a position where it can unwind freely without tangling. A yarn swift or a bowl can be helpful for this.

5. Operating Instructions

1. Thread the Yarn:

   Take the end of your yarn and thread it through the loop of the yarn guide arm.

2. Attach Yarn to Cone:

   Secure the yarn end to the winding cone/spindle. There is usually a small notch or groove on the cone to tuck the yarn into, or you can simply hold it in place for the first few turns.
3. Begin Winding:

   Slowly turn the handle clockwise. As you turn, the yarn will begin to wrap around the cone, forming a center-pull ball. Maintain a consistent, gentle tension on the yarn with your free hand as it feeds through the guide arm.

4. Continue Winding:

   Continue turning the handle at a steady pace until all the yarn is wound into a ball. The winder is designed to operate with very low noise, ensuring a pleasant experience.
5. Remove the Yarn Ball:

   Once winding is complete, gently slide the finished yarn ball off the cone. It should be a neat, compact center-pull ball.

• Cleaning: Wipe the winder with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove any dust or yarn fibers. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Storage: Store the winder in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Its small size and lightweight design make it easy to store.
• Lubrication: The internal mechanism is designed for smooth operation and generally does not require lubrication. If you notice any stiffness, a very small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the moving parts, but this is rarely necessary.
