1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Information
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow basic safety precautions when using this appliance.
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Do not touch the evaporator or ice blades when the unit is in operation.
- Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Supervise children closely when the appliance is in use.

5. Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, tape, and any protective film.
- Placement: Place the ice maker on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is at least 5 inches (12.7 cm) of space around the unit for proper ventilation.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker.
- Open the top lid and remove the ice basket.
- Clean the interior with a soft cloth and warm water with a mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry.
- Fill Water Tank: Open the top lid and fill the water reservoir with clean, potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
6. Operation
Your HOMEZAY Nugget Ice Maker is designed for simple, one-button operation.
- Start Ice Making: After filling the water tank and plugging in the unit, press the multi-purpose button on the front panel. The indicator light will turn white, signifying that the ice maker has begun the ice production cycle.
- Ice Production: The first batch of nugget ice will typically be ready in approximately 10 minutes. Subsequent batches will be produced continuously as long as there is water in the reservoir.

- Ice Collection: When the ice basket is full, the indicator light will turn green, and the ice making process will pause. Use the provided ice scoop to remove ice. Once ice is removed, the unit will resume ice making automatically.
- Add Water Indicator: If the water reservoir is low, the indicator light will turn red, and the unit will stop making ice. Refill the water tank to resume operation.
- Chewable Nugget Ice: The ice maker produces soft, chewable nugget ice, ideal for various beverages and for chewing.

- Turn Off: To turn off the ice maker, press and hold the multi-purpose button for a few seconds until the indicator light turns off.
7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ice maker.
- Self-Cleaning Function: The ice maker features a convenient self-cleaning cycle.
- Ensure the water tank is filled with clean water.
- Press and hold the multi-purpose button for 5 seconds to activate the self-cleaning mode. The indicator light will turn blue.
- The self-cleaning cycle will run for approximately 20 minutes.
- Once complete, drain the water from the unit by unplugging it and carefully tilting it over a sink.

- Regular Cleaning:
- Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
- Periodically clean the ice basket and water reservoir with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Descaling: Depending on your water hardness, mineral deposits can build up.
- For moderately hard water areas, descale monthly.
- For hard to very hard water areas, descale every two to three weeks.
- Use a vinegar-water solution (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling agent. Run the self-cleaning cycle with the descaling solution, then rinse thoroughly by running several cycles with clean water.
- Storage: If storing the ice maker for an extended period, drain all water, clean the unit thoroughly, and allow it to air dry completely before storing in a cool, dry place.
