Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic safety precautions:

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including any tape or protective films.
  2. Placement: Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface away from direct sunlight and other heat sources. Ensure there is at least 15 cm (6 inches) of space around the unit for proper ventilation.
  3. Refrigerant Settling: After transport, allow the ice maker to stand upright for a minimum of 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle properly, ensuring efficient operation.
  4. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section for detailed cleaning instructions.
  5. Drain Plug: Ensure the drain plug located at the bottom of the unit is securely closed before adding water.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your CUMEOD Ice Maker:

  1. Add Water: Open the lid and pour potable water into the water reservoir. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line indicated inside the reservoir. The water tank capacity is approximately 1.3 liters.

  3. Power On and Select Ice Size: Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet. Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel to turn on the unit. Then, press the SELECT button to choose your desired ice cube size: SMALL or LARGE.

  5. Ice Production: The ice maker will begin the ice-making cycle. The first batch of 9 bullet-shaped ice cubes will be ready in approximately 6 minutes. Subsequent cycles may be faster.

  7. Ice Full Indicator: The infrared sensor will detect when the ice basket is full, and the 'ICE FULL' indicator light will illuminate. The machine will pause ice production until some ice is removed.
  8. Add Water Indicator: If the water level in the reservoir is too low, the 'ADD WATER' indicator light will illuminate, and the machine will stop ice production. Refill the reservoir to resume operation.

  10. Retrieve Ice: Use the provided ice shovel to remove ice from the basket. For best results, transfer freshly made ice to a freezer for storage, as the ice maker's basket is not a freezer and ice will melt over time.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and hygiene of your ice maker.

Self-Cleaning Function

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with clean water.
  2. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for approximately 5 seconds until the LARGE/SMALL indicator lights begin to flash. This indicates the self-cleaning cycle has started.
  3. The cleaning cycle will run for about 15 minutes.
  4. Once the cycle is complete, place a container under the drain plug at the bottom of the unit. Remove the drain plug to empty the wastewater.
  5. Replace the drain plug securely.

Manual Cleaning

  • Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
  • Remove the ice basket.
  • Clean the interior of the ice maker with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Wipe all surfaces dry with a clean, soft cloth.
  • Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • When not in use for an extended period, ensure the unit is completely dry and store it in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ice maker, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions:
