  • DC 9V Power In: Connects the power adapter.
  • Audio Out (Headphone Jack): For connecting headphones or external speakers.
  • Audio In: For connecting external audio sources.
  • Microphone Out: For connecting the included microphone.

Setup

  1. Power Connection:

    The keyboard supports dual power supply options: the included power adapter or 4 x AA batteries (not included).

    • Using Power Adapter: Insert the DC plug of the power adapter into the "DC 9V Power In" jack on the rear panel of the keyboard. Plug the other end into a standard wall outlet.
    • Using Batteries: Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the keyboard. Insert 4 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
  2. Music Sheet Holder Installation:

    Insert the music sheet holder into the designated slots on the top rear of the keyboard. Ensure it is firmly seated.

  3. Connecting Accessories:
    • Headphones: Plug the headphones into the "Audio Out" (headphone) jack on the rear panel for private practice.
    • Microphone: Plug the microphone into the "Microphone Out" jack on the rear panel.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Volume

  • Power On: Press the POWER button located on the control panel. The LED display will light up.
  • Power Off: Press the POWER button again to turn off the keyboard.
  • Volume Adjustment: Use the VOLUME knob or buttons to increase or decrease the sound level.

2. Selecting Tones (Instruments)

The keyboard features 100 different tones. The default tone is usually Grand Piano.

  • To select a tone, use the number buttons (0-9) to enter the two-digit tone number (e.g., 01 for Grand Piano, 02 for Bright Piano).
  • Refer to the tone list printed on the keyboard or in the supplementary material for a complete list of tones and their corresponding numbers.
  • The selected tone number will be displayed on the LED screen.

3. Selecting Rhythms

The keyboard includes 100 different rhythms to accompany your playing.

  • To select a rhythm, use the number buttons (0-9) to enter the two-digit rhythm number.
  • Press the START/STOP button to begin or end the rhythm playback.
  • Use the TEMPO buttons to adjust the speed of the rhythm.

4. Playing Demo Songs

The keyboard has 10 built-in demo songs for listening pleasure or learning.

  • Press the DEMO button to cycle through the demo songs.
  • Press DEMO again to stop the current song and play the next, or press START/STOP to stop playback.

5. Teaching Functions

The keyboard offers various teaching modes to assist beginners.

6. Using Microphone and Headphones

  • Microphone: Once plugged into the "Microphone Out" jack, you can sing along while playing. Adjust the microphone volume if available on the keyboard or through external settings.
  • Headphones: Plugging in headphones automatically mutes the built-in speakers, allowing for quiet practice.

7. LED Display

The LED display provides visual feedback on the keyboard's current status:

  • Displays the selected tone number.
  • Displays the selected rhythm number.
  • Shows the current tempo setting.
  • Indicates active teaching modes or other functions.

Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your Starfavor Electric Keyboard.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the keyboard. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water and a mild soap solution, then wipe dry immediately. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the keyboard or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not place heavy objects on top of it.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your keyboard, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
