1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the GUESMi BZ52 Food Processor. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating indicated on the appliance. Do not immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
  • Blade Handling: Blades are sharp. Handle with extreme care. Always hold the blade assembly by the plastic hub, not the blades, when removing or inserting.
  • Usage Precautions:
    • Keep hands and utensils away from moving blades during operation to prevent injury.
    • Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
    • Do not use outdoors. This appliance is for household use only.
    • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
    • Always ensure the lid is properly sealed and the motor unit is securely in place before operating. The appliance features a safety lock mechanism that prevents operation if not correctly assembled.
    • To prevent overheating, do not operate continuously for more than 30 seconds. Allow a 20-second rest period between processing cycles. If the motor overheats, unplug the unit and wait 20 minutes before resuming use.
    • Do not process excessively large or hard food items that may damage the blades or motor.
  • Child Safety: Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

3. Assembly and Setup

Follow these steps to assemble your GUESMi BZ52 Food Processor before first use.

  1. Place Anti-Skid Mat: Position one of the anti-skid rubber mats on a clean, flat, and stable surface.
  2. Select Bowl: Choose either the glass or stainless steel bowl and place it on the anti-skid mat.
  3. Install Blade: Carefully place one of the 4-blade bi-level blade assemblies onto the central shaft inside the bowl. Ensure it sits securely.
  4. Add Ingredients: Place your desired ingredients into the bowl. For optimal results, cut food into small pieces, approximately 1.18 inches (3 cm) in size. Do not overfill the bowl; ensure ingredients are below the 'Max' line.
  5. Secure Lid: Place the bowl lid onto the bowl, aligning it properly and twisting gently to lock it into place.
  6. Install Motor Unit: Position the 500W Power Pod (motor unit) onto the lid. Ensure it is firmly seated and aligned with the safety lock mechanism. You may need to press down slightly to engage the lock.
  7. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Once assembled, your food processor is ready for use.

4.1 Processing Food

  1. Ensure the unit is properly assembled and plugged in as described in Section 3.
  2. Press and hold the button on top of the motor unit to start processing. The appliance offers two speed settings: Speed I (low speed) and Speed II (high speed). Select the appropriate speed based on your ingredients and desired consistency.
  3. Release the button to stop processing.
  4. For best results and to prevent overheating, process food in short pulses, not exceeding 30 seconds per cycle. Allow a 20-second rest period between cycles.

4.2 Safety Lock Mechanism

The GUESMi BZ52 Food Processor is equipped with a safety lock. The motor will not operate if the motor unit is not firmly pressed down and properly aligned with the lid. This prevents accidental operation and ensures the lid is sealed to avoid splattering.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your food processor.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Disassemble: Carefully remove the motor unit, then the lid, and finally the blade assembly from the bowl.
  3. Clean Components:
    • The bowls, lid, and blade assemblies are dishwasher safe. If washing by hand, rinse with warm soapy water using the provided cleaning brush and spatula. Handle blades with extreme caution.
    • For dishwasher use, ensure the water temperature does not exceed 140°F (60°C) to prevent warping of plastic parts.
    • Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid.
  4. Dry and Store: Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before reassembling or storing. Store the food processor in a clean, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GUESMi BZ52 Food Processor, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions.
