5. Operating Instructions

The Allewie Lift Up Storage Bed features a hydraulic mechanism for easy access to underbed storage.

  1. Lifting the Mattress Platform: To access the storage, firmly grasp the strap or edge of the mattress platform and lift upwards. The hydraulic pistons will assist in smoothly raising the platform.
  2. Accessing Storage: Once the platform is raised, the spacious underbed compartment is accessible for storing items such as extra bedding, clothing, shoes, or luggage. The underbed storage height is approximately 10.8 inches.
  3. Lowering the Mattress Platform: To close, gently pull the mattress platform downwards. The hydraulic system will control the descent, preventing it from slamming shut. Ensure no objects or body parts are in the way during lowering.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and appearance of your Allewie bed frame, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the velvet headboard and frame surfaces with a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Regular Checks: Periodically inspect all fasteners and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
  • Hydraulic System: The hydraulic lift mechanism is designed for durability. Avoid applying excessive force when lifting or lowering, and do not attempt to disassemble or repair the hydraulic pistons yourself.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your bed frame, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • Squeaking or Noise: Check all bolts and screws for tightness. Ensure the slats are properly seated in their holders.
  • Hydraulic Lift Difficulty: Ensure the mattress weight does not exceed the maximum lifting capacity (110 lbs). If the mechanism feels stiff, ensure no obstructions are present. If issues persist, contact customer support.
  • Unstable Frame: Verify that all connections are securely fastened and the bed is placed on a level surface.
