3. Setup & Assembly
The Z-hom Queen Bed Frame is designed for simple assembly. It is recommended to assemble with two people, but it can be completed by one person. All necessary tools are included.
Assembly Steps:
- Unpack Components: Carefully unpack all parts from the box and lay them out on a clean, soft surface (e.g., a rug or blanket) to prevent scratches. Verify all parts are present against the included parts list.
- Assemble Headboard and Footboard: Follow the specific instructions in your included manual to connect the headboard and footboard sections.
- Connect Side Rails: Attach the side rails to the assembled headboard and footboard using the provided bolts and tools. Ensure all connections are snug but do not overtighten until all parts are aligned.
- Install Support Slats: Place the metal support slats onto the designated slots or supports on the side rails. The embedded design ensures the slats fit securely.
- Tighten All Connections: Once all parts are in place and aligned, fully tighten all bolts and screws to ensure the frame is stable and secure.

4. Operating Instructions
Once assembled, the Z-hom Queen Bed Frame is ready for use. It is designed to support a Queen size mattress without the need for a box spring.
- Mattress Placement: Carefully place your Queen size mattress directly onto the metal slats. The embedded design of the frame helps to keep the mattress from sliding.
- Recommended Mattress Height: For optimal aesthetic and functional integration with the headboard, a mattress height between 8 and 14 inches is recommended.
- Weight Capacity: The bed frame has a maximum weight capacity of 1200 lbs (including mattress and occupants). Do not exceed this limit.

5. Maintenance & Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Z-hom Queen Bed Frame.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the metal frame and wood headboard/footboard with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish. The surface is waterproof for easy cleaning.
- Regular Checks: Periodically (e.g., every 6 months) check all bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary to maintain stability and prevent noise.
- Avoid Excessive Moisture: While the surface is waterproof, prolonged exposure to excessive moisture should be avoided to prevent potential damage to the wood components.
- Relocation: If moving the bed frame, disassemble it first to prevent structural stress and damage. Do not drag the assembled frame.
6. Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bed frame is squeaking or making noise. | Loose bolts or connections; friction between metal parts. | Ensure all bolts are securely tightened. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant or wax to contact points between metal parts if noise persists. |
| Mattress slides on the frame. | Mattress not fully seated; lack of friction. | Ensure the mattress is centered and fully within the embedded frame design. If sliding continues, consider using a non-slip mattress pad between the mattress and the slats. |
| Difficulty during assembly. | Incorrect part orientation; bolts not aligning. | Refer to the assembly instructions carefully, paying attention to part orientation. Do not fully tighten bolts until all parts for a section are loosely assembled and aligned. |
| Toe stubbing on frame legs. | Legs extend to the outer edge of the frame. | Be mindful of the bed frame's footprint, especially the leg placement. Consider placing rugs or soft barriers around the bed if this is a persistent issue. |
