Assembly Steps Overview:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out. Verify against the package contents list.
- Assemble Base Frame: Connect the horizontal base supports to the vertical uprights using the provided hardware. Ensure all bolts are finger-tight initially.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Using the Squat Rack
- Adjusting J-Hooks: The J-hooks can be easily adjusted to various heights along the uprights. Simply lift and pull out the pin, slide the J-hook to the desired hole, and reinsert the pin securely. Ensure both J-hooks are at the same height. The 17 cm deep recess provides a secure resting place for your barbell.
- Adjusting Spotter Arms: The spotter arms provide safety during heavy lifts. Adjust them to a height slightly below your lowest squat or bench press position. They are designed to withstand up to 350 kg per pair.
- Bench Press: The R7 rack offers ample space to accommodate a weight bench inside the rack, allowing for safe bench press exercises.
4.2. Using the Integrated Cable System
The integrated cable system allows for a variety of exercises, including lat pulldowns and rows.
- Weight Loading: Load appropriate weight plates onto the cable system's weight carriage. Ensure plates are securely seated.
- Attachment: Attach your desired cable machine attachment (e.g., lat bar, rope, single handle) to the carabiner on the cable.
- Smooth Operation: While the system is designed for smooth movement, regular inspection and occasional lubrication of pulleys can enhance performance. If you experience significant friction, refer to the troubleshooting section.
4.3. Using the Optional Deadlift Station
If you have the optional deadlift station, it provides a dedicated area for deadlifts, allowing for quiet barbell removal and protection for your floor.
- Placement: Position the deadlift station at the rear of the rack.
- Barbell Use: Place your barbell on the designated supports within the deadlift station for controlled and quieter lifting.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your ATLETICA R7 Rider Squat Rack.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the frame with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the powder coating.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Retighten as necessary.
- Cable System Inspection: Inspect cables for fraying or wear. Check pulleys for smooth rotation and lubricate with a silicone-based lubricant if needed.
- Component Inspection: Examine J-hooks, spotter arms, and other attachments for any signs of damage, cracks, or deformation. Replace worn or damaged parts immediately.
- Floor Protection: Ensure the rubberized feet are intact and providing adequate floor protection.
6. Troubleshooting
- Rack Wobbles After Assembly: Ensure all bolts are fully tightened. Check that the rack is on a completely level surface. Adjust the rubberized feet if necessary to compensate for uneven flooring.
- Cable System Not Smooth: Inspect the cable path for any obstructions or kinks. Check if pulleys are rotating freely; they may require lubrication with a silicone spray. Ensure the weight plates are loaded evenly and not catching on any part of the frame.
- Missing Parts or Instructions: If you find any parts missing or the assembly instructions are unclear or absent, please contact ATLETICA customer support immediately for assistance.
- Unusual Noises During Use: Stop exercising immediately. Inspect all connections and moving parts for loose hardware or signs of wear. Tighten any loose bolts or contact support if the issue persists.
