Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the urn for any damage.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the urn interior, lid, percolator stem, and coffee basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not immerse the main urn body in water.
3. Placement: Place the coffee urn on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to allow for proper ventilation. Ensure the power cord can reach an electrical outlet without being strained.
4. Assemble: Insert the percolator stem into the center well of the urn. Place the coffee basket onto the percolator stem.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee

1. Add Water: Fill the urn with cold, fresh water to the desired level. Refer to the water level indicator on the side of the urn. Do not overfill.
2. Add Coffee Grounds: Place the desired amount of coarse-ground coffee into the coffee basket. Do not use fine-ground coffee as it may seep through the filter. Do not pack the coffee grounds.
3. Secure Lid: Place the lid securely on the urn.
4. Plug In and Power On: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the brewing process has begun.
5. Brewing Cycle: The urn will begin heating the water, which will then percolate through the coffee grounds. Brewing typically takes 40-60 minutes for a full 100-cup capacity.

Serving

1. Once brewing is complete, the urn will automatically switch to a 'keep warm' function, indicated by a different light (if applicable).
2. Position a cup under the spigot.
3. Push the spigot lever down to dispense coffee. Release the lever to stop the flow.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your coffee urn.

1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the urn from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
