4. Setup

4.1 Before First Use

• Remove any stickers or protective foil from the soleplate.
• It is recommended to iron an old piece of fabric first to remove any manufacturing residues from the soleplate.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the mains.
2. Set the steam control to the 'dry ironing' position (no steam).
3. Open the water filling inlet cover.
4. Fill the water tank with tap water up to the 'MAX' indication (250ml capacity). Do not overfill.
5. Close the water filling inlet cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Setting the Temperature

1. Plug the iron into a grounded wall socket.
2. Turn the temperature dial to the desired setting according to the fabric type. Refer to the garment care label.
3. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up. It will turn off when the set temperature is reached.

5.2 Steam Ironing

• Ensure the water tank is filled.
• Set the temperature dial to the steam ironing range (usually indicated by three dots or 'MAX').
• Once the indicator light turns off, select the desired steam level using the steam control slider.
• Begin ironing.

5.3 Dry Ironing

• Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control is set to the 'dry ironing' position.
• Set the temperature dial according to the fabric type.
• Wait for the indicator light to turn off before ironing.

5.4 Steam Boost Function

• For stubborn creases, press the steam boost button (located on the handle) for an extra burst of steam (up to 90g).
• Wait a few seconds between bursts to allow the iron to reheat.

5.5 Spray Function

• Press the spray button (located on the handle) to lightly moisten the fabric, aiding in crease removal.

6.1 Cleaning the Iron

1. Unplug the iron and allow it to cool down completely.
2. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
3. Clean the outer casing with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning pads.
4. Empty any remaining water from the tank after each use.

6.2 Calc-Clean Function

Regularly use the Calc-Clean function to remove scale buildup and maintain optimal steam performance. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage.

1. Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' level.
2. Set the steam control to 'no steam' and the temperature dial to 'MAX'.
3. Plug in the iron and wait for the indicator light to turn off.
4. Unplug the iron.
5. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
6. Press and hold the Calc-Clean button (if available, otherwise refer to specific model instructions for activation). Shake the iron gently back and forth. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying scale particles.
7. Continue until the water tank is empty.
8. Plug in the iron again and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.
9. Unplug and let it cool down. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth.

6.3 Storage

• Unplug the iron and allow it to cool down completely.
• Empty the water tank.
• Store the iron in an upright position on its heel rest to prevent soleplate damage.
