1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using your SHARDOR JHB-158 Hand Blender. Retain this manual for future reference.

3. Assembly

3.1 Attaching the Blending Shaft

  1. Align the blending shaft with the motor unit.
  2. Twist the blending shaft clockwise until it locks securely into place.
  3. To detach, twist counter-clockwise and pull apart.

3.2 Attaching the Whisk, Egg Beater, or Dough Hook Adapter

  1. Insert the desired whisk, egg beater, or dough hook into the adapter until it clicks.
  2. Align the adapter with the motor unit.
  3. Twist the adapter clockwise until it locks securely into place.
  4. To detach, twist counter-clockwise and pull apart.

3.3 Attaching the Chopper

  1. Place the chopper blade onto the central pin inside the chopper bowl.
  2. Add ingredients to the chopper bowl.
  3. Place the chopper lid onto the bowl, ensuring it is properly seated.
  4. Align the motor unit with the chopper lid.
  5. Twist the motor unit clockwise until it locks securely into place.
  6. To detach, twist counter-clockwise and pull apart.

4. Operation

4.1 General Use

Ensure the appliance is correctly assembled and plugged into a power outlet. Always hold the motor unit firmly during operation.

4.2 Speed Control and Turbo Function

The SHARDOR JHB-158 features 20 variable speed settings and a Turbo mode for maximum power.

  • Variable Speed: Rotate the dial on top of the motor unit to select your desired speed from 1 to 20. Lower speeds are suitable for soft ingredients, while higher speeds are for harder ingredients or faster processing.
  • Turbo Mode: Press and hold the 'TURBO' button for an instant burst of maximum power. This is ideal for tough ingredients or achieving a finer consistency quickly. Release the button to stop Turbo mode.

4.3 Blending (Using Blending Shaft)

  1. Attach the blending shaft to the motor unit.
  2. Immerse the blending shaft into the ingredients in a beaker or pot. Ensure the blade guard is fully submerged to prevent splashing.
  3. Press the power button to start blending. Adjust speed as needed.
  4. Move the blender up and down gently to ensure even blending.
  5. Release the power button to stop.

4.4 Chopping (Using Chopper Attachment)

  1. Assemble the chopper attachment as described in Section 3.3.
  2. Place ingredients into the chopper bowl. Do not overfill.
  3. Attach the motor unit.
  4. Press the power button in short pulses to chop ingredients to your desired consistency.
  5. Release the power button to stop.

4.5 Whisking / Egg Beating (Using Whisk or Egg Beater Attachment)

  1. Assemble the whisk or egg beater attachment with the adapter and motor unit as described in Section 3.2.
  2. Place the whisk/beater into the ingredients (e.g., eggs, cream) in a bowl.
  3. Press the power button to start. Use appropriate speed settings for whisking or beating.
  4. Release the power button to stop.

4.6 Kneading (Using Dough Hooks Attachment)

  1. Assemble the dough hooks attachment with the adapter and motor unit as described in Section 3.2.
  2. Place the dough hooks into the ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Press the power button to start. Use a low to medium speed for kneading.
  4. Release the power button to stop.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your appliance.

  • Before Cleaning: Always unplug the hand blender from the power outlet and allow it to cool down.
  • Motor Unit: Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse it in water or other liquids.
  • Blending Shaft, Whisk, Egg Beaters, Dough Hooks, Chopper Blade: These parts can be rinsed under running water or washed in warm, soapy water. Handle blades with extreme care.
  • Beaker and Chopper Bowl/Lid: Wash in warm, soapy water or place on the top rack of a dishwasher.
  • Drying: Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried before storing.
  • Storage: Store the appliance and its accessories in a dry place, out of reach of children.
