2. Safety Instructions

Always adhere to the following safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to the pump:

  • Read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation.
  • Ensure the power supply matches the pump's voltage and frequency specifications (230V, 50Hz).
  • Always disconnect the power supply before performing any installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
  • Do not operate the pump without water or at extremely low water levels. This can cause the pump to overheat and burn out.
  • Ensure proper grounding to prevent electrical shock.
  • Do not lift the pump by its electrical cable. Use a strong rope or chain attached to the designated sling hole.
  • Keep children and unauthorized personnel away from the operating area.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during installation and maintenance.
  • If the pump shows signs of damage, do not operate it. Contact qualified service personnel.

3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the pump's performance and longevity. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Prepare the Well: Ensure the well casing is clean and free of debris. The internal diameter of the well liner pipe should be 4 inches (102 mm) or more for optimal fit.
  2. Attach Discharge Pipe: Connect a suitable discharge pipe (G1.5 / 1.5" thread) to the pump's outlet. Ensure a watertight seal using thread sealant tape.
  3. Secure the Pump: Attach a strong, non-corrosive rope or cable to the pump's sling hole (located near the discharge) to facilitate lowering and retrieval. Do not use the electrical cable for support.
  4. Lower the Pump: Carefully lower the pump into the well, ensuring it remains vertical and does not touch the bottom or sides of the well casing. The pump should be fully submerged.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect the 9.1m electrical cable to a properly grounded power source (230V, 50Hz) with appropriate circuit protection. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure.
  6. Check Valve: The pump has a built-in check valve. For installations with long discharge lines or significant elevation changes, an additional external check valve is highly recommended to prevent water hammer and excessive back pressure.

4. Operating Instructions

Once installed, operating the VEVOR Deep Well Submersible Pump is straightforward:

  • Initial Start-up: Before the first operation, ensure the pump is fully submerged in water. Connect the pump to the power supply. The pump will begin to draw water.
  • Monitoring Performance: Observe the water flow and pressure. The pump is designed to deliver a maximum flow of 9.8 m³/h (43.15 GPM) and a maximum head of 144 meters (472 ft). Actual performance may vary based on well depth, pipe friction, and system demand.
  • Continuous Operation: The pump is designed for continuous duty, but avoid prolonged dry running. The built-in overheat protection will shut down the motor if it becomes too hot.
  • Shutting Down: Disconnect the power supply to turn off the pump.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your VEVOR pump:

  • Filtration Mesh Inspection: The pump is equipped with a stainless steel filtration mesh to prevent large particles from entering. Periodically inspect and clean this mesh if necessary.
  • New Well Tip: For newly drilled wells, it is recommended to put a layer of gauze at the inlet of the pump to provide additional filtration against fine sediment during initial operation.
  • Check Valve: While a check valve is built-in, ensure it is functioning correctly to prevent backflow.
  • Cable and Connections: Regularly inspect the electrical cable for any signs of damage, fraying, or wear. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Storage: If the pump is to be stored for an extended period, especially in freezing temperatures, drain all water from it to prevent damage. Store in a dry, protected area.

6. Troubleshooting

Before contacting support, review these common issues and their potential solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Pump does not startNo power, tripped circuit breaker, faulty wiring, motor overheat protection activated.Check power supply, reset breaker, inspect wiring, allow motor to cool down.
Low water flow/pressureLow water level in well, clogged filter/intake, air in system, discharge pipe obstruction, worn impellers.Check well water level, clean filter, bleed air from system, clear obstructions, inspect impellers.
Pump runs but no waterPump not fully submerged, air lock, suction leak, check valve stuck closed.Ensure full submersion, prime the pump if possible, check for leaks, inspect check valve.
Pump cycles on/off frequentlyPressure tank issue (if applicable), leaky plumbing, low well yield.Inspect pressure tank, check for leaks, monitor well recovery rate.
Excessive noise or vibrationForeign object in pump, worn bearings, improper installation/mounting.Disconnect power and inspect for obstructions, contact service for bearing issues, verify installation.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, contact qualified service personnel or VEVOR customer support.
