Important Safety Instructions

Setup
- Unpack the toaster and remove all packaging materials.
- Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials.
- Ensure the crumb trays are properly inserted at the bottom of the toaster.
- Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- For first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest browning setting (7) for a few minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke is normal during this initial use.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Toasting (7-Shade Settings)
- Insert up to four slices of bread into the toasting slots.
- Select your desired browning level using the browning control dial (1 for lightest, 7 for darkest). The optimal browning setting is typically Level 4 or Level 5.
- Press down the carriage lever until it locks into place. The indicator light for the selected function will illuminate.
- When toasting is complete, the bread will automatically pop up.

2. Defrost Function
- Place frozen bread into the toasting slots.
- Select your desired browning level.
- Press down the carriage lever, then press the "DEFROST" button. The defrost indicator light will illuminate.
- The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to defrost and toast the bread.
3. Reheat Function
- Insert already toasted bread that has cooled into the slots.
- Press down the carriage lever, then press the "REHEAT" button. The reheat indicator light will illuminate.
- This function will warm the bread without further browning.
4. Bagel Function
- Place bagel halves into the toasting slots with the cut side facing inwards.
- Select your desired browning level.
- Press down the carriage lever, then press the "BAGEL" button. The bagel indicator light will illuminate.
- This function toasts the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the outer side.
5. Cancel Function
- To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the "CANCEL" button. The carriage lever will immediately pop up.

6. Using the Warming Racks
- Attach the warming racks by clipping them onto the top edges of the toasting slots.
- Place items like croissants, pastries, or rolls on the warming racks.
- Set the browning control to a low setting (e.g., 1 or 2) and press down the carriage lever.
- Monitor the items closely to prevent over-warming or burning.
- Remove the warming racks after use and allow them to cool before handling.

Maintenance and Cleaning
- Always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb trays from the bottom of the toaster. Discard crumbs and wipe the trays with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly before reinserting.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the stainless steel finish.
- Interior: Do not attempt to clean the interior of the toaster with any tools or liquids. If food becomes lodged, unplug the toaster and carefully remove it once cooled.
