4.4 Electrical Connection

  • Ensure the voltage indicated on the rating plate (located on the back of the appliance) corresponds to your household's mains voltage.
  • Connect the appliance to a properly grounded wall socket. The power plug is Type F (2-pin, German and Spanish standard).
  • Do not use extension cords or multiple socket adapters.

4.5 Initial Operation

After plugging in, allow the refrigerator to run for at least 2-3 hours empty before placing any food inside. This allows the interior to reach the correct operating temperature.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Temperature Control

The refrigerator is equipped with an adjustable temperature control dial, usually located inside the fresh food compartment. Turn the dial to adjust the cooling intensity:

  • Min/1: Less cooling, suitable for light loads or cooler ambient temperatures.
  • Mid/Normal: Standard cooling for everyday use.
  • Max/5: Maximum cooling, suitable for heavy loads or warmer ambient temperatures.

Adjust the setting according to the amount of food stored and the ambient temperature. Avoid setting to maximum unnecessarily, as this increases energy consumption.

5.2 Food Storage

  • Fresh Food Compartment (84 Liters): Store fresh produce, dairy, and beverages. Utilize the two shelves and door racks for organization.
  • Freezer Compartment (11 Liters): Suitable for storing small quantities of frozen foods. Ensure items are properly sealed to prevent freezer burn.
  • Do not place hot food directly into the refrigerator; allow it to cool to room temperature first.
  • Avoid overloading the refrigerator, as this can hinder air circulation and cooling efficiency.

5.3 Manual Defrosting

This appliance features a manual defrost system for the freezer compartment. Frost buildup reduces cooling efficiency and storage capacity. Defrost when the frost layer reaches approximately 3-5 mm thickness.

  1. Turn off the refrigerator and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items from the freezer and refrigerator compartments. Store frozen items in an insulated container to keep them cold.
  3. Leave the refrigerator door open to allow frost to melt naturally. Place towels at the bottom to absorb melting water.
  4. Once all frost has melted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
  5. Plug the refrigerator back in and allow it to cool for 2-3 hours before returning food.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Interior

  • Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
  • Clean the interior regularly with a solution of lukewarm water and a mild, neutral detergent.
  • Wipe dry thoroughly after cleaning to prevent odors and mold growth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or chemical solvents, as these can damage surfaces.

6.2 Cleaning the Exterior

  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
