4. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the air conditioner and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage.
2. Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 20cm of clear space around the unit for proper airflow. Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
3. Window Kit Installation:
   • Assemble the window sealing plate as per the instructions provided with the kit.
   • Secure the exhaust hose to the air outlet on the back of the unit.
   • Extend the exhaust hose and connect it to the window sealing plate, ensuring a tight seal to prevent hot air re-entry.

4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet meets the power requirements of the unit.

5. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the control panel and remote control for optimal use.

5.1 Control Panel and Remote Control

The unit can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control. The functions are identical.

5.2 Basic Operation

1. Power ON/OFF: Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.
2. Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through available modes: Cooling, Dehumidifying, and Fan. The selected mode will be indicated on the digital display.
3. Temperature Adjustment: In Cooling mode, use the UP and DOWN arrows to set your desired temperature. The temperature range is typically 16°C to 30°C.
4. Fan Speed: Press the SPEED button to select between High, Medium, and Low fan speeds.

5.3 Advanced Functions

1. Timer Function: Press the TIMER button to set the auto-on or auto-off time (up to 24 hours). Use the UP and DOWN arrows to adjust the time.
2. Sleep Mode: Press the SLEEP button to activate sleep mode. In this mode, the fan speed will be set to low, and the unit will operate more quietly. The set temperature may gradually increase by 1-2°C over several hours to conserve energy and maintain comfort during sleep.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

1. Power Off: Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
2. Remove Filter: Locate the air filter on the back or side of the unit (refer to diagram in packaging if unsure) and carefully pull it out.
3. Clean Filter: Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. For heavy dirt, wash the filter gently with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Dry Filter: Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. Do not expose to direct sunlight or high heat.
5. Reinstall Filter: Slide the dry filter back into its position.

6.2 Draining Water (Dehumidifier Mode)

In dehumidifier mode, water will collect in the internal reservoir. The unit may stop operating when the reservoir is full. Refer to your specific model's instructions for continuous drainage options if available.

1. Power Off: Unplug the unit.
2. Position: Place a shallow pan or container under the drainage outlet (usually at the bottom rear of the unit).
3. Drain: Remove the drain plug/cap and allow all water to drain out.
4. Replace Plug: Once drained, securely replace the drain plug/cap.

6.3 Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period:

• Drain all water from the unit.
• Clean the air filter.
• Coil the power cord neatly.
• Store the unit in a dry, cool place, preferably in its original packaging.
