4. Setup and Installation
The Kutchina Scott 60 chimney is designed for wall-mount installation. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Installation Process:
- Site Preparation: Ensure the installation area on the wall is sturdy and can support the chimney's weight. Maintain appropriate distance from the cooking hob as per local regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Mounting: Securely mount the chimney to the wall using the provided installation kit. Ensure it is level and stable.
- Ducting: Connect the chimney to an external ventilation duct. Ensure the ducting is properly sealed to prevent air leakage and maximize suction efficiency.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the chimney to a suitable 220V (AC), 50Hz power outlet. Ensure the connection is secure and grounded.

5. Operating Instructions
Your Kutchina Scott 60 chimney features intuitive touch controls and a wave sensor for easy operation.
Control Panel:
The control panel is located on the front of the chimney and includes touch-sensitive buttons for various functions.
Functions:
- Power On/Off: Touch the power icon to turn the chimney on or off.
- Speed Control: Adjust the suction speed (3 levels) by touching the fan speed icon. Higher speeds are recommended for heavy cooking.
- LED Light: Touch the light icon to turn the 1W LED lamp on or off, illuminating your cooking area.
- Wave Sensor: Utilize the wave sensor for hands-free operation. Wave your hand in front of the sensor to control basic functions like power or speed adjustment. Refer to the specific sensor gestures in the detailed manual for precise control.
- Autoclean Function: Activate the 3rd generation dry autoclean cycle by touching the dedicated autoclean button. This process helps to melt and collect grease.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Kutchina Scott 60 chimney.
Autoclean Cycle:
- The 3rd generation dry autoclean technology uses a 56W heating element to melt accumulated grease.
- Activate the autoclean function regularly, typically after every 30-45 hours of operation or as needed based on cooking frequency.
- During the autoclean cycle, the melted grease flows into the removable oil collector.
Cleaning the Oil Collector:
- Periodically check the oil collector for grease accumulation.
- Carefully remove the oil collector from its housing.
- Empty the collected oil and wash the collector with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before reinserting.
External Cleaning:
- Wipe the exterior surfaces of the chimney with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
