1. Introduction

Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use, maintenance, and to achieve optimal performance from your device.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the underside of the scale.
  2. Insert the required batteries (typically AAA, as suggested by product images) according to the polarity indicators (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Initial Placement

Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Uneven surfaces can affect accuracy. Avoid placing it near strong electromagnetic fields or areas with significant vibrations.

3.3 Calibration

The MH Series Pocket Scale features auto-calibration. For optimal accuracy, ensure the scale is on a stable surface and powered on. If manual calibration is ever required (refer to specific model instructions if provided), it typically involves a specific sequence of button presses with a known weight.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on. The display will show "88888" then "0.00" or "0.0".
  • Press and hold the ON/OFF button to turn the scale off. The scale will also automatically turn off after approximately 30 seconds of inactivity to save battery life.

4.2 Unit Conversion

  • Press the UNITS button to cycle through available weighing units (e.g., grams (g), ounces (oz), carats (ct), grains (gn), pennyweights (dwt)).

4.3 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the contents.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.00".
  3. Place the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.

4.4 Counting Function (PCS)

The PCS function allows you to count items based on a sample quantity.

  1. Turn on the scale and ensure it reads "0.00".
  2. Press and hold the PCS button until a sample quantity (e.g., 25, 50, 75, 100) appears on the display.
  3. Place the corresponding number of items (e.g., 25 items for a 25-piece sample) on the platform.
  4. Press the PCS button again to confirm the sample. The display will show "PCS" and the sample count.
  5. Add the items you wish to count. The display will show the total count of items.

4.5 Backlight Control

  • Press the LIGHT button to turn the display backlight on or off.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the scale, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the scale in water. Ensure the scale is completely dry before storage or next use.

5.2 Storage

Store the scale in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight. If the scale will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Batteries are dead or incorrectly installed.
  • Faulty unit.
  • Check battery orientation and replace if necessary.
  • If problem persists, contact customer support.
