3. Initial Setup
3.1 Charging the Tablet
Before first use, fully charge your OUKITEL RT8 tablet using the provided 33W fast charger and data cable. Connect the charger to the tablet's Type-C port and plug it into a power outlet. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging progress.
3.2 Installing SIM/SD Card
- Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the tablet.
- Use the provided safety pin to eject the tray.
- Carefully place one or two Nano SIM cards, or one Nano SIM card and one Micro SD card (up to 1TB), into the designated slots on the tray. Ensure the gold contacts face downwards.
- Gently push the tray back into the tablet until it clicks into place.
3.3 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the OUKITEL logo appears.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then select 'Power off' from the options on the screen.
- To Restart: Press and hold the Power button, then select 'Restart' from the options.
3.4 Initial Android 14 Configuration
Upon first power-on, follow the on-screen prompts to set up your Android 14 system. This includes selecting your language, connecting to Wi-Fi, setting up your Google account, and configuring security features.
3.5 Attaching the Folding Stand and Wrist Strap
The tablet comes with an aluminum alloy folding stand and a portable wrist strap. Use the provided screwdrivers to securely attach these accessories to the designated mounting points on the back of the tablet. Ensure all screws are tightened to prevent accidental detachment.
