7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your KeenPlus DVR-8818, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Device not turning on: Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 2 hours.
- Not recording: Verify the REC ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. Check if the memory is full; if so, transfer or delete old recordings.
- Poor audio quality: Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. Check the noise reduction settings in the "RESET.TXT" file and adjust if necessary. Record in a quieter environment if possible.
- Cannot connect to computer: Ensure the recorder is turned OFF before connecting. Try a different USB port or cable. For Windows 11 or Mac, some users may need to ensure drivers are up to date or try different USB-C adapters if direct connection fails.
- Recordings not found: Ensure the device was properly turned OFF after recording to save the file. Check the "RECORD" folder on your computer.
- Indicator lights not behaving as expected: Refer to the specific operating instructions for each mode (Normal Recording, Voice-Activated Recording, Playback) to understand the expected light behavior.
