5. Setup and Installation
This distribution box is designed for use with DIN-rail mounted Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB) or DIN-rail mounted fuse holders. It includes an integrated DIN rail for straightforward installation.
5.1. Applications
Common applications include outdoor installations, such as between solar panels and a solar inverter in household or RV solar systems. It is compatible with both DC Circuit Breakers (for solar applications) and AC Circuit Breakers, as well as other DIN-rail mounted products.
5.2. Mounting the Box
- Select a suitable mounting location, ensuring it is a flat and stable surface.
- Use the provided box screws to securely fasten the distribution box to the chosen surface.
5.3. Installing Circuit Breakers/Fuse Holders
- Open the transparent cover of the distribution box.
- Mount your DIN-rail compatible Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) or fuse holder onto the integrated DIN rail inside the box. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Refer to the specific instructions for your MCB or fuse holder for proper wiring connections.

5.4. Cable Entry and Sealing
The box includes waterproof nylon cable glands and silicone plugs to maintain its IP65 rating.
- Drill appropriate holes for cable entry in the designated areas of the box, if not pre-drilled.
- Insert the cables through the M20x1.5 waterproof nylon cable glands.
- Tighten the cable glands around the cables to create a watertight seal.
- Use the silicone waterproof plugs to seal any unused cable entry points to maintain the IP65 rating.

6. Operation
Once the circuit breaker(s) or fuse holder(s) are installed and wired, the distribution box functions as a protective enclosure. The transparent cover allows for visual inspection of the breaker status (ON/OFF) without needing to open the box, maintaining its environmental protection.
7. Maintenance
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the transparent cover and the main body for any signs of damage, cracks, or wear.
- Seal Integrity: Ensure the waterproof seal around the cover and the cable glands remain intact and free from debris. Replace if damaged.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the box with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the plastic material.
- Component Check: Occasionally verify that the circuit breakers or fuse holders inside are securely mounted and functioning correctly.
8. Troubleshooting
This distribution box is a passive enclosure. Most operational issues will relate to the circuit breaker or the electrical circuit itself. Refer to the instruction manual of your specific circuit breaker or fuse holder for troubleshooting electrical faults.
- Water Ingress: If water is found inside the box, immediately disconnect power. Inspect all seals, cable glands, and plugs for proper installation and damage. Replace any compromised components.
- Cover Not Sealing: Ensure no debris is obstructing the seal and that the cover is properly latched.
