Setup

1. Charging the Batteries

Before first use, fully charge both 6.0Ah lithium batteries using the provided fast charger. The battery features an indicator light to show charging status and remaining power.

2. Installing a Saw Blade

The Canbrake Reciprocating Saw features a tool-free blade installation system for quick and easy blade changes.

  1. Ensure the saw is turned off and the battery is removed for safety.
  2. Locate the blade release mechanism near the front of the saw.
  3. Push or twist the mechanism (refer to Figure 3 for visual guidance) to open the blade clamp.
  4. Insert the desired saw blade into the clamp until it clicks securely into place.
  5. Release the mechanism to lock the blade. Gently pull on the blade to ensure it is firmly seated before use.

Operating Instructions

1. General Operation

Always wear appropriate safety gear, including eye protection, gloves, and hearing protection, when operating the saw.

  • Attach a fully charged battery to the saw.
  • Select the appropriate blade for the material you intend to cut.
  • Hold the saw firmly with both hands, ensuring a stable grip on the rubberized handle.
  • Press the safety lock button before engaging the trigger to prevent accidental starts.
  • Place the shoe of the saw against the workpiece before starting the cut.
  • Gradually press the trigger to begin cutting. Allow the blade to reach full speed before applying pressure.
  • Maintain a steady, controlled motion throughout the cut.

2. Adjusting the Handle Angle

The unique rotatable handle allows for cutting at various angles, improving ergonomics and access in tight spaces.

  • To adjust the handle, locate the rotation release mechanism (usually a button or lever) near the handle's pivot point.
  • Engage the mechanism and rotate the handle to the desired angle (up to 180°).
  • Release the mechanism to lock the handle in place. Ensure it is securely locked before resuming operation.
