1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Josnown Automatic Liquid Soap Dispenser. This touchless dispenser is designed to provide a hygienic and convenient hand-washing experience in your home or office. Featuring an infrared motion sensor, adjustable soap output, and a rechargeable battery, it is suitable for various liquid soaps and can be installed on a countertop or wall-mounted to save space.

2. What's in the Box

Please ensure all components are present before proceeding with setup:

• 1 x USB Charging Cable

• 1 x Cleaning Tool (small bottle with pointed nozzle)

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

1. Locate the USB charging port on the back of the dispenser unit. It is protected by a rubber cover.
2. Carefully open the rubber cover.
3. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the dispenser and a suitable USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
4. The indicator lights on the top of the dispenser will show the charging status. Ensure the device is fully charged before first use.
5. Once charged, disconnect the cable and securely close the rubber cover to maintain IPX5 waterproof integrity.

3.2 Filling the Soap Reservoir

1. Twist the top dispenser unit counter-clockwise to detach it from the transparent soap reservoir.
2. Pour your desired liquid soap into the reservoir. The dispenser has a 13.5 oz (400ml) capacity.
3. Important: If using gel soap, it needs to be diluted 3-4 times with water to ensure proper dispensing and prevent clogging. Foam soap can be added directly.
4. Align the top dispenser unit with the reservoir and twist clockwise until securely fastened.

3.3 Installation Options

The dispenser can be used on a countertop or wall-mounted.

• Countertop Placement: Simply place the assembled dispenser on a flat, stable surface near your sink.
• Wall Mounting:
  1. Clean and dry the desired wall surface thoroughly.
  2. Peel off the protective film from one of the adhesive wall mount pads.
  3. Firmly press the adhesive pad onto the wall, ensuring the hook is facing upwards. Hold for 30 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.
  4. Align the slot on the back of the dispenser unit with the hook on the adhesive pad and slide the dispenser downwards until it locks into place.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button (usually indicated by a universal power symbol) on the top of the dispenser for a few seconds to turn the device on or off. Indicator lights will confirm the status.

4.2 Dispensing Soap

Place your hand directly under the dispenser's nozzle. The infrared motion sensor will detect your hand and automatically dispense the pre-set amount of soap.

4.3 Adjusting Soap Output (4 Gears)

The dispenser features 4 adjustable gear settings to control the amount of soap dispensed:

1. With the dispenser powered on, briefly press the power button to cycle through the 4 gear settings.
2. Each press will advance to the next gear, indicated by the number of illuminated lights on the top panel (e.g., 1 light for Gear 1, 4 lights for Gear 4).
3. Select the desired output level based on your needs.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Dispenser

To prevent clogs and maintain hygiene, regular cleaning is recommended:

• The dispenser has a cleaning mode. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on activating this mode.
• If a clog occurs, use the provided cleaning tool (small bottle with pointed nozzle) to clear the dispenser's nozzle.
• Wipe the exterior of the dispenser with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the entire unit in water, as it is IPX5 waterproof (splash-proof) but not submersible.

5.2 Battery Care

Recharge the dispenser when the battery indicator lights show low power. Use only the provided USB charging cable.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your dispenser, try the following:

• No Soap Dispensing:
  • Check if the dispenser is powered on.
  • Ensure the soap reservoir is not empty.
  • Verify the battery is charged.
  • Check for any obstructions in the nozzle. Use the cleaning tool if necessary.
• Weak or Inconsistent Dispensing:
  • The soap might be too thick. If using gel soap, ensure it is diluted 3-4 times with water.
  • Clean the nozzle and internal pump mechanism using the cleaning mode or tool.
  • Ensure the top unit is securely attached to the reservoir.
• Device Not Responding:
  • Attempt to recharge the device.
  • Ensure the power button is pressed correctly.
